Nice restoration, and a great outcome.

May White wall inserts come on your scoot and may god help you with all the badges and decals.

Congrats Stanher. She is definately an Italian beauty at her best. Your hard work is paid. Looks awesome I am sure Hyd is going to witness an yester era beauty plying on the roads again. All what you need to do is a retro dressing and a popular number/song .

What a wonderful outcome of all the hard work, patience and time spend on this beauty!

I am sure, the scoot which company used to offer way back in 60's and 70's did not have this glaze in paint! The Scoot looks like it has just come out of the showroom!

Great work Shyam! Feels good to see this one time rocker on road back on its feet!

Thanks guys!
The paint I used was what they call "PU Duco" hence the glaze. It's a shade 'lower' than the 2k paint which is even more glossy. I chose this shade as I felt it is just right, not too glossy, and not too dull or fast-wearing.

OK, so apologies for the delay again, here are a couple of the rest of the pics. I mentioned in my last post- meant to post them last night, but the net went out again! :|
And sorry, not able to post all of them now again, for some #$%%@@ reason!! We are going to have powercut now too! so cant upload all of them in this post!

Enjoy!

OK, so finally back with the rest of the pics. that I was supposed to post in my last post, plus more taken today, as a bonus!

As you can see, rear numberplate frame and plate fitted on, plus fitting of the legshield badges yesterday, and finally the more attractive side-panel badges today!
Also a minor adjustment done to the legshield beadings to fit the end-clamps either side.

Man, these give her a whole different look! Finally, she has that original Italian Li look on her side-panels, which I was yearning to see since more than a year!
I do have the horncast innocenti badge (replica), which I intend to fit only for occasions/photo, as am afraid of losing it.

I also had the mech. change the horncast beadings from the black to the grey ones I got through Saurabh (thanks to him for that!), despite the chap's protests!

So now, that completes the period look. Only 'need the horncast/mudguard beading, which I'll fit later.

'did plan to get her home today, but was later decided to do so tomorrow. A couple of minor glitches need adjusting too, like the gear cable of the speedo, which got disconnected when the scooter was driven over a pothole. Plus need to fit the floormat and the cool period "autobird" RVM that sidman helped me get!

So it'll remain at his place for today. 'cant wait for tomorrow!

Thanks amol! 'got the side-panel badges (repros in cast iron, I have an original used aluminium one too, bought on ebay, but only for 1 side! Hence not fitting it for now atleast) the St. george shield badge I bought new on ebay, the legshield script badges are used ones. They may look better than they are, need a proper polishing. I was suggested buffing, but they being too delicate, I declined lest they get damaged.
I also noticed they used the correct kind of rivets for the side-panel badges. I'd got a few that I was told were incorrect. But anyways, glad its all done now!

Shyam garu, your scoot looks amazing now! Soon you can get rid of the scoot's mechanic..

Waiting to see the videos of the scoot starting and ripping on the road.

Oh boy, she's done at last !! Looking awesomely cool Shyam .
Those badges make a world of difference - they hike up the 'period' quotient a million times man !
I'm beginning to see you - dressed in period threads, riding with that "ooh la-la Cool" expression, and preferably wearing sixties sunshades... wow.

Your "lamb" has inspired poetry... Please recite this to the tune of "Mary had a little Lamb":

Stanher has a little "Lamb",
'tis blue and white as snow,
And everywhere that Stanher goes,
those cheers will sure follow !

Happy riding, buddy !

Welcome home, MDS!!

Thanks chanu! Yes, we do have a meet in mind already!

And here are more pics. taken today, just after I came home. The mech. had driven her down and left her home a little while earlier.
The 'autobird' RVM has been fitted too. But the stem was fitted in a rather improper angle so it doesnt show properly. 'will have to adjust the stem a little, as the mirror itself is not adjustable. 'looks awesome though!

And also drove her around a little bit today. Clutch still does feel a little hard but not like before. As Saurabh said, it should gradually decrease with wear.

Also wanted to take some pics. at night with the lights on but it was going off on idling, even with the choke on. Maybe because there isnt enough petrol left in it.

'intending to take some better pics soon when I'm free! So do hold on!
