Hey nice to have all the documentation ready with you.. That certainly adds more vintage-ness to your scooter. How about some pictures of your scooter?

Priyadarshan
surely,I will post the photos in couple of days. Both Vijai and lambretta are in Garage for Servicing.I will start photo session with another lambretta which is up and running however in raw state yet.

Today,I had to literally cut the bull bar which joins the scooter and side car as it was badly rusted and removing it was herculean task.4 years idle scooter took so much toll on me and my mechanic. We were happy when we were successful in dismantling the side car.I need to weld the bar again once scooter is up and running.Unfortunately,Globe side car company (Rocket model) is closed down few years back.Hence,I need to get the parts custom made before I join the side car again

Need to change all the 4 tyres on 2 scoots to keep them in running. Also facing severe 'Vitamin M shortage' as I am running after Vespa and Jawa owners.Acquisition is top priority.Once, all acquisitions are done,I will start all restorations with big bang approach.
Currently, sourcing all the required spares for these restorations.Hope to get the same soon !

Re: Lambretta scooters - Restoration & Maintenance

Hi Ilango.
That is a beautiful scooter you have restored. I am awaiting the parts of our Allwyn Pushpak which are presently up for painting. Shall get them back from painting by this weekend. I also had planned for a two tone metallic paint of Crimson Red and Ivory white. But later on changed my mind for a non-metallic moon blue shade to keep the looks period 1970ish. Presently the work on engine is going on and have sent the case for getting the studs fitted in place. I am planning to assemble the engine this weekend. Might require your inputs regarding my scoot.
With Best Regards,
Abhijeet.
