thats a wonderful camper caravelle. If i am not mistaken, these models had a variety of engine choices. Petrol- water cooled and also diesel.

Wonder whats its priced at.

Look what a dear friend sourced for me - genuine NOS (VW and part number stamped) door handles correct for 1956. Plus brand new original correct SG profile Huff key, matching numbers. What more could I ask for? They will go on the car during phase 2 of restoration.
very good! by the way how much did it cost you.?

Karl,

If you are on this thread, Pls note, the "ignition coil" is wrongly placed on the doghouse cooler assembly in your Beetle, it always has to be upside down condition. Pls have them changed immediately.

I have often wondered about this. Any technical reason, why the Igntion Coil is/should be inverted in the Beetle?

LOL. Pavan, just saw your avatar. Maybe you should put the bus below your other four cars.

The upside down ignition coil is a trademark in all VW engine room, and it defies any logic.

Hey, hey, who's car is this....?

Being in Bengaluru, i have seen almost all the Bugs around, but not this.

Sir could you please let me know who owns this one?

Nice looking cars with all those aftermarket chrome accessories.

Guys one more thing, i've been reading a lot on stock VW production today, i could not see anywhere in the pages of VW history that whitewall tyres came out on vw's as a factory fitment.

Anyone who can throw some light on it, i may be wrong, or the book might be!

Hey Domi, this car is so well done, if she were pre-1960 she could be an entry in the next Cartier event 2010.
I wonder what all our Gurus would value this car at, I would say around 10L, but minimum 8L. And that may not cover cost of restoration.
Lovely. harit

Radio seems to be blanked out, number plate should not be American for a RHD car. Just nitpicking unnecessarily. But the car is very nice!
