Saw two Volkswagen Beetles parked in the Brady Glady's building in Lower Parel.

One was a Green & the other was a Convertible with Orangish Color, they were looking awesome.

Couldnt take the pics, as i was in a hurry to go for a meeting.

Do those beatuies belong to any Tbhpian ? Any information guys.

What a ride. And nice to see the Bus with the A/C fitting.

Could you please put some elaborate pics of the inside fitment and also the engine room pics.

I just got hold of a VW A/C compressor, Floor mounted condenser and the front blower unit, need to see your engine room pics for the same

Need to install them for my Bus too.

An early Beetle was on display at Kolhapur. It is displayed as a 1956 model, which would make it an oval window car. Though it has a larger rear window, it may be a later modification as it has the smaller front windscreen, which is usually untouched. Plus it sports the trademark 'Goa' front lid.

Note the 'flying VW' standing logo in the front - pretty rare, and popular at one point on Australian cars. But this is one is rather large, maybe a local repro.

A good car butchered.

Yes karl this might be the oval window Bug.

Sad at its present condition. Nothing in the car visible is original.

I had seen this Bug in Goa many years back, it sports an oval dash but later panels outside. Unfortunately the pics didn't come out clear enough.

Story of a VW and Kiran

This story is straight out of a VW story book.

Meet Kiran, a die hard VW and especially a Beetle fan, my friendship with this guy goes back to a few weeks.

He strikes a deal and purchases a decent VW Variant at Delhi and at a decent price, loads it in a truck and gets it down straight to Bangalore, instead of
Chennai which is his hometown. Only to meet me

I meet him few hours ago with his car, the car is in good shape, apart from the Fiat Solex carb, each and everything in the car is Original, a good buy, the striking thing about him is, his wish to spend the night in his car to add to his buying experience.

Tomorrow morning we start early from my house, get the car a good thorough wash, a bit of silencer welding, few oil changes, a bit of brakes and a little tuning. The goal is get the car ready by 11am to be driven to Chennai.

Hope things go well as planned.

Karlosdeville What's this trademark lid. I came across half a dozen beetles in a workshop yesterday under various stages of restoration. Sadly they seem to be lacking skilled or even semi skilled labour to get the job done
regards

Story of a VW and Kiran

Early morning we wake up and take the car to the mechanic, rather drive the spluttering and chugging VW .

Work done:

1) Engine oil changed
2) New plugs
3) Engine tune up
4) Silencer leakages plugged and welded
5) Twisted bumper straightned
6) Complete inside out wash
7) Brakes overhauled

After all this was done the car was just flying. We drove the car around for quite a distance, the car is silky smooth and running just fine.

Now this car will make a drive, a rather long one, to Kirans home town - CHENNAI.

I wish him all the best and a happy long time ownership with his cool drive.
