And about the Box, wait up, let me search the HELLA marked box with the VW logo I have it somewhere.
I agree that there are many after market aircooled VW parts available today. That includes our own INDIAN manufacturers like NEOLITE PPI as yourself found out some time ago .Such items are classified as ''AFTERMARKET"" ""REPRO"".
i was only mentioning about GENUINE VW /OEM stuff and I am fully confident what Byas is saying is absolutely correct - No 5 screw rim headlight came for air cooled VW models
Also all genuine HELLA german headlights made in GERMANY will have ''MADE IN GERMANY"'script at the bottom of the lens as you also may be aware

Pavan,
these photos of the rims show only 3holes (I'm assuming they are yours). I hope your installer did not drill additional holes!!!

I believe that this is not 100% accurate, for those Hella or Bosch lights sourced in France had a different text, "fabriques d'Allemagne", or something very similar, same meaning but in French. Sometimes these lenses had a yellow tinge.

Have ordered rubber beading around the headlight ring rims, That will complete the installation.

Thank you again for the compliments

There was one part that was missing since a loooong time.

A rubber felt near the front footwell ... Whatever they call it...?

Got them yesterday, very simple installation, 2 screws and 1 bolt on each side, there are 2 precut pieces inside to show off the headlight dome and the air outlet, will remove them over the weekend.

Last pic shows, how dirty it looked before.

The Bus has proved to be too handy to us, almost God sent

Since we are painting our house, we were in dilemma on where to store household stuff untill the painting is done.

Opened the back boot, folded the rear seat, and we almost have a humongous mini house at our disposal.

Will post pic of the filled bus tomorrow, and surprisingly the Bus pulls damn well inspite of all that weight.

Pic with the Bus filled, with most of our house hold items and my spares. It easily took in a Queen size bed and the cot.

I had negelected the Bus due to painting work at home since a month.

Since i had to stay home today for some important work at home, made some time and washed the Bus. All that Muck and bird poo easily went with Sonax car wash. The Bus is now gleaming

Fed up of not being able to find an appropriate cover for the Bus, i had one vinyl sheet spanning 20 feet, this is what i did
