| Now the Bus is likely to be finished anytime soon. It would have taken around 14 months. What did Pavan learn from this restoration? Well, that is his privilage to tell us and I won't spoil his story on his efforts. But for anyone restoring a car, following may kindly considered: While doing the restoration of any car, tin work, painting, upholstry etc, always try as far as possible to get a new set of rubbers, complete brake system spares to put all new and if the car is older, all new ignition parts like point, condenser, rotor, coil etc. One will never regret that. Now we await the finale from Pavan  One more thing. If a car has been standing idle, then you can try to clean and start the engine. But if the engine was removed, or you are fitting an engine that was lying out, then overhaul it without trying to us as is. Most engines which were lying out will require work anyway. Everyone were ecstatic on the drive, The bus is actually a great comfy cruiser, such a great comfort you get even over bad roads.. Great. On an average the FE that i am roughly calculating would be around 8 - 10 kmpl (he he... Good) Harit sir, i would put an end note on my experiences only after completion. Its not far anyways. | O K Guys, For fresh updates. Electricals done 100% 1) Horn working- Big fat Jalwa horns, sounds like a train (he he..) 2) Indicators working 3) Cabin lights working 4) Headlights and dipper working 5) Reverse light working 6) Brake lights working 7) Meter lights working 8) Electrical fuel pump working Almost all aspects of electrical parts working fine presently. Got the Bus a nice battery (90 Amperes) and also an UPS. Pending work: 1) Complete rubbing and polishing 2) Side winder glass (RH & LH) 3) New tyres. Will load with some photos tomorrow. |
