Though i wanted to put the pics of my new ride only after the restoration process on the Body starts.

I can see few people getting impatient, sorry for the delay.

OK i give it away- Its a 1971 VW Baywindow Microbus.

Actual pics would come once the restoration starts, Here is what it'll look finally after few months.

Update--

Nice to see some progress, the Bus is loosing colors as of now.

The paint is now stripped off and the body is been tinkered 60%.

2 more weeks, i feel the primer will go on to the bus.

Lot of small parts on the bus is been removed now, i need to find some nice upholstery guy who can do the seats and the other claddings inside.Too early for the interiors i feel.

Will upload pics of the vehicle by monday(probably the first pics)

Hey pavan,

I saw this song from a telugu movie that's just been released and it has a microbus in the same colour combo as the one posed above.......reminded me of you!
It looks immaculate and has an MME(?) regn.
'donno the name as I cant read telugu though, but the caption reads "4 COMMON MEN"

Ok ok,

Here i am 2 months away from the time the Bus arrived and 1 more months clock ticking to complete my restoration.

Time seems to fly away so soon, i never realised that there is still lots and probably lots and lots more to do.

My tinker boy is giving me a horrid time, needs to finish little of whatever is left so that my painter who's super fast can finish the painting, need to get him to finish the body work soon.

My Painter almost finished the inside of the bus and also the engine room, which i am glad atleast some work is going on.

Now was the tough time to choose the color, after thinking RED and SKY BLUE left the choice to the ladies in the house, My Wife/Mom and my sis-in-law approved the orange and off-white combination, which eventually was agreed upon by me and my brother.

My Dad is still locked over the issue of the Bus coming home. :< .

Got hold of some damping material in our good old J C Road, which went into the engine room.

Here are some pics

Thank you sir,

My tinker is 27 yrs old, my painter is 25 yr old guy and the mechanic is 32 yr old chap cheers:, working with same age group people has its share of advantages. We all think in the same wavelength, in turn the process of restoration becomes faster. with better thoughts and newer ideas.

The only drawback here is getting everyone working in tandem :< and so are the prices.
