But we both have got gems and its upto us now to make their previous "Late" owners proud, by turning them into original show pieces.
Original Smiths meters also need to be included in this list as the ones now fitted are Autometer made Smiths lookalikes. These type of Autometer meters but graduated in KMPH, were OEs in 66 and 67 models.

Thats quick progress. Have you fabricated the rear doors? Do share with us how you did it. The colour looks great.

By any chance did you get any literature/refernce manuals with the car? Should it have had semaphore indicators?

Can you also please share images of the interiors (seats, door pads, rear bay etc) in as found condition? I assume they were never changed.

The first picture appears to be of their showroom in Trivandrum. The L shaped building is at MG Road, Trivandrum.
{I checked that FB page and it doesn't mention that all pics are of Calicut showroom.(https://www.facebook.com)}

Cool! And quick work, BTW. Anyways, might I ask which make of paints are being used. This is the second surviving Landmaster woodie I know of, the first one being Delhi registered.

Does it have the Smiths gauges, Side-Valve engine etc ?

Cheers!

Yes this has the orginal engine and meter instruments. The colour was inspired by the yellow that comes on i10 hyundia. I think would look good with wood. Will try sending the engine bay pic. Soon.

A very similar shade of yellow was offered by HM on the mark 2 ambassadors in 1973.

We had one, looked smart. Why not try to get that shade? HM dealers may still have the shade card.

Bulldogji, would like to add some information here. The yellow shade appeared in 1968. The period from 1964-68 saw the few, same old shades for the Mark II continuing.

In 1968, when the one (speedo) plus three (oil, fuel, amps) autometer configuration on the dash was in vogue. HM introduced four totally new shades viz. oxford blue, banana yellow, bottle green and mint green.
All, but the bottle green shade continued well upto 1973/74.
