Some pics of an Ambassador. I am not too sure which model it was. Had to take a snap eventhough I was driving fro I liked the side trims which were immaculate to say the least and I liked the rear Bumper guards too.

From the bumpers, it looks like the Mark 1 Ambassador. Looks pretty well kept.

drmessiah,

Your car is very nice.
looking at it brought back memories of days when owning a car
was something special and Amby was the king.

Thanks for sharing pics.

Some more Ambassador pictures, mainly from Delhi and Kolkata. The first one features the sight of lots and lots of Amby taxis from the rear window of an Ambassador at the Netaji Subhas International Airport, Kolkata. The second one shows a Amby seemingly lost in the company of newer cars in the Delhi traffic. Some are from Nagpur too.In one picture the Hon'ble Speaker Lok Sabha Mr Somnath Chatterjee is seen heading toward his car. Some Amby taxis lined up at The IGI Airport domestic terminal New Delhi are seen. A 1975 Ambassador Mark 3 featured earlier by me is here (lowermost pictures),

@Karl, Remember that Black Lando that went past my house once when we were in my compound!!

I FINALLY managed to catch up to it.

Here it is. Not very Original, But ohh so pristine and shiny!! There was an old parsi lady in the back and the driver was driving it, and when i asked the lady on wether i could take some pictures, she said, " Of course, This is my husbands Second Wife!!!! "

My Father's Ambassador.

This is my father's Amby. Mark II - Year 1972. It's his every day car (No power steering, No A/c lol). He changed it to white from Olive Green in 1999. I learnt driving in this car.

The current Diesel engine is doing 3 lakh+ KMs after the transplant. I think my dad still has the old petrol engine.

Sorry guys, these pics were taken on a mobile. Rest assured, when I go home next time will take better ones.

nevertouchme liked the pictures of your loved Amby.If possible can you also post some older images of the car in its original colour. That colour was quite common then but is very, very rare today as most of the cars are gone and if remaining they have been repainted.
