Muuaaahhh...

The mole, you require a standing ovation for the detailed restoration. Well done, the car looks tooo neat, if only it could get some hub caps as incentive

Jhon Milne- Your Fiat is aso rocking, why dont you put a separate thread about your Fiat. We guys dont mind seeing multiple threads on these Italian beauties

Aarey yaar the car has enough incentives, and now its poor owner has an empty pocket but apparently these hubcaps are as tough to find as your VW dome hubcaps, but atleast now I am in posession of two.

In the meanwhile i made a full fledged mockup for the logo on the ignition for the car, scanned a reference image in CAD and then scaled the opening to the circumference of the original Marelli ignition (25mm). My garage guy will now get a exact replica made. Lets see how the experiment goes.

My goodness what a great restoration job...

i have one too, currently gathering dust at Lucknow.
But its body is in very good shape, so was the engine when it was working about a decade ago :(. i plan to get it up and running soon enough...and then all the secondary jobs.

will parts like the inside door locks, light covers and the rear light assembly be difficult to find?

Why dont you post some pics of your car is it a 56 or 57, parts are increasingly getting tough to find even in Italy after almost a year managed to source some hubcaps today, trust me they are really really rare

Oye sirji! Are we gonna just see mention of them in words as we do now, or in a couple of thousand words (ie. couple of pics....a pic. = 1000 words, get it? ) ??

Amol, congrats! So you finally got a full set for your car! Great! Now we can see her complete!

Can you beleive it from Turin, my friend says they are hard to come by even there, it took him six months to find these, they came from a village fair outside turin where they were selling classic car parts.

I quite like the way the white meter boxes and steerings turned out too, very period

Now tell daddy to get a dukkar, probably easier to find a dukkar than these hub caps you know I am toying with the idea of getting a second dukkar and turning it into a racing dukkar right! without bumpers and all. need to consult you dad on that in the next meeting.
