I agree. Somehow, the chamfered top corners make it look like a millecento front panel.

Looking good. At this point you should close the petrol flap and fabricate the fitting for the original cap system. Im sure the Bangalore boys can help you find one, or fit an Amby system till you source the original. This can only be done now in painting stages.

Were the front panels different in Millecentos (pre 56) and the Elegant models of 57?

Arre of course re.. The grilles are different so are the panels. Notice the slight "chamfer" on the top two corners of the Millecento's grille, vis-a-vis the "rectangular with slightly rounded corners" of the Elegant.
I think the Elegant front panel is also carried forward in the Select / Super Select.
All pictures taken from the Team-BHP forum. (Kavesh is accidentally in the picture.).

Finally my MYB 6563 seems to close to getting done. Check the photo of the steering column - the newspaper too has an article on a Millecento

Some other forums seem to have picked up interest in this thread. This one a 1100 forum based I think in the UK.

Where would I find parking and tail lights for a 1956 Millecento?

I need the whole assemblies. It seems to be misplaced during the paint job.

Dear upspeed - I happen to know a certain guy in Mumbai's Chor Bazaar since many decades now. Do you want me to check with him? The first problem is that it may not be available. The second problem is that even if it is available, this guy will be pricey. I can telephone him and ask, if available, he'll deliver at my doorstep. Please send me a PM with your contact number.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar
