Wow, guys - you have no idea how overjoyed, overwhelmed, and at a loss of words I am. After three years, MRX will have the set of shoes she deserves. I already have the wheels, and the clips. Time to get them refurbished, clips fitted, and we're good to go
Ravi Bhau,

This is damn awesome like a holy grail. So clean, ozing originality from every quarter. I envy you bro for this.

Re: My 1962 Fiat Super Select - the journey begins.

Thanks a ton, Sagar, Shyam, and Manish !!

Well the hubcaps are not really in perfect shape - they do have a few dents, which can't be seen in the picture. (trick photography).
But the chrome is original, so I'm not going to rechrome them, not a chance !!

Let's hope I'm able to get my wheels in good order, and fit the clips in the right way - "with JUST the right amount of springiness" - as Rony (President) would put it !!

Re: My 1962 Fiat Super Select - the journey begins.

Hello all Fiatians!
How are the beauties doing? It's been a long time that I am just going through the threads from owners penning down the restoration of their cars. It's been a long time interest to own one of these beauties.
Since last couple of months I am also looking out for a Fiat Elegant/Milicento or Super Select. Though I am on a lighter budget, but still I would love to own a working Fiat which will later be restored to its original.
If any of you come across a beauty, do pm me.

Thanks.

Hey guys, there's sudden activity on this thread after a long while. Happy to announce the re-resurrection of MRX 6839. Not just a resurrection, but a personality makeover!
The story's long, but the restoration a lightning-fast one. I will shortly post it in detail. Meanwhile, here's a sneak-pic.

SS : Congratulation in advance to you for a beauty in the making ! The car's restoration has picked up momemtum and hopefully it will emerge gleaming. It has had adequate rest and needs to be seen on the roads.

Good selection of shade. I hope its a two tone with white top and similar colour theme following inside the car. Just a thought if the wheel discs had the same red, it will enhance the look of car with white walls and hub caps.
For sure i will be glued to this thread as I too am in search of a SS/1100.
And please do not blame me for waking you all here.
