In the 60's we had a Borgward Isabella in kerala, which was owned & imported from Malaysia in 1963 by my father. It's a 2-door Coupe with 15 HP 4 cylinder Engine made in Germany. If my memory is correct, it was rated at 70 BHP.We used it for a few years and eventually sold to some one in Coinbatore around the 70's. Does anyone have any information on this vehicle or any such vehicle existing in india today. Any feedback is much appreciated.

and Karl you had identified the car from the picture taken by me in Germany.I saw many websites related to this car. There is a club in Austrailia too for this marque. And the resale prices are quite handsome as the car is too rare.

Do you have any pics or any more details?
What was the year of manufacture? Registration no? Please let us know.

Wow so many unknown beauties once ran our roads. This is news to me. I hope the car survives.
