Yes indeed you are.
Presidential garage had a convertible 300, auctioned off for around 10L when we would have expected to pay max 5L(just to give an idea about the foresight of the owner, he paid more knowing value will catch up). Car is supposed to be with Mallya.
There was Presidential 600, not a Landaulet as I mistook, auctioned off for silly money. I believe that Poonawalla and Mallya had some understanding on this auction.
Never heard of 600 Nallinger, can we see some pics?

The 600 nallinger was a one-off design by mercedes based on the 600.Only 2 were built and one was gifted to Dr rudolf Ulhenhaut. It was a designed by a person called Fritz Nallinger and hence the name.It has the hydraulic power system like that of the 600.

Here is the only Right hand drive W100 Landau ever built. It was built for Mr Bob Jane of Australia and is now in the private collection of mr Lyndsay Fox.

Must be very rare, just like the cabriolet. I read a lot of magazines, English and German, have never seen this before. Perhaps Starman can tell us more.

The 600 coupe, according to the magazine, is a one-off piece, and never went into production. Built in the summer of 1965, this had a wheelbase 22 cm shorter than the regular 600. The idea was to build a sort of a grand tourer, a sports car with "unrivaled luxury" as they describe it. "The ultimate for the connoisseur at the wheel".
Sadly the ambitious project was turned down by the management, and was shelved after development chief Fritz Nallinger, whose baby it was, retired.

The "Nalinger" Coupe was a one off an exercise to see if building one the US market was viable. It wasn't the only built though. A member of my Club built one some years ago in Pennsylvania USA. Karl Middlehuave restores 600's and has also built two Pickups from 600's. What is really surprising is the stylist of the 600.Paul Bracq styled the pickups for Karl.
Go here for a look at some amazing mercedes .Click on History to a picture of Karls Coupe.

I had seen this model in Poonawalla's place near Salisbury Park at Pune almost eight years ago! Guess this one belongs to him. I may be wrong though!
