Thank you! Yes, will follow the Forum rules religiously. I have read all your posts in H14's FIAT threads. Glad you too owned two Padminis' before! Hope you own one again. Here are my two Premier Padminis' and a FIAT 1100 Select; painstakingly maintained. Hope you like them!

Bought in June 2018 as a Gift to my 5 year old Daughter - 1960 FIAT 1100 Select, Dad's 1991 Premier Padmini Economy and my first car bought in 2010 - 1990 Premier Padmini Standard.

FIAT 1100 Club - Bangalore [FCB] next meet is on March 17th 2019 to commemorate the Club's 10th Anniversary! Venue is Lalbagh's parking lot (Double road entrance) @ 09:00am. We shall go on a City drive post the meet; this time along the South Bangalore's prominent roads.

Let's together make this a memorable event by grand gathering of FIATs and FIATians. Please join us with your entire Family and get Friends along too. Snacks, beverages and water will be served.

A week to go for the FCB meet!

The FCB 10th Anniversary meet turned out to be a great one with 60+ Fiat 1100, Premier Padmini and Premier 118NE cars participating.

Thank you Anandh (H14), Naveen and friends from Coimbatore, Rahul from Hyderabad, Manu from Chennai Fiat Club and Bhaskar from Visag for attending the meet.

How practical is it to own a Padmini as a daily drive for city drives ?
Will it be easily serviceable in a city like Chennai ?
Can one expect an aircon to installed in such a car ?

Hi Narayan,

I have a 118NE is Chennai. And also associated with the Fiat classic car group of Chennai. Availability of parts and mechanics is the same as in any other metro. There are skilled people but may not be living or working close by your residence.
Except for monsoons, you can have a PP as daily drive if you spare good time on its upkeep. You can also install Aircon. If you still in the hunt for a car then look for an AC PP or S1.

Try to get a post 1993 Premier Padmini deluxe fitted with factory airconditioning and Nissan gear box. Don't buy diesel version.
Also once you get one, try to stock as many OE essential spares so that you can use it as a daily drive without any hitches
