Is it a President-Safari original car?
I am scratching my balding head to recollect if these safari's were rebodied by STARLINE Motors during the PRESIDENT era. However from the looks of the Speedo Cluster, horn button and dash fittings it very much looks to be re-built on a basic and original "Premier President".

The current execution looks somewhat near to the original

Not completely intact but hope it helps in some way if/when replicated.
Great, thanks for posting. Any pics of the 67 Delight too?

Premier Auto was branding many components in the Delight by 67 - the filter could very well originally have had that sticker.

But still, I share your doubt. As I suggested, it might've had an engine transplant from a President at some point.

The manuals even in the last Super Selects were in both English and Hindi. I have a manual from a 68 Delight that gives every detail in both languages.

I also saw the mauals of Delight in Hindi, pictures of which I had posted earlier, I warranted the otherwise guess by having a look at the Brake fluid resiorvior cap which is in Italian. But again Since it is just a sticker I could have been localised.

FiatsGalore

Thanks to Sherief Saab(Imperial s a), Karthik and me had a fantastic Fiatful day

We visited the Garage where Mr. Sherief gets his cars done. There are many beautiful antique and vintage cars. The Garage is owned by Mr. Kannan.

There we spotted three rare Fiats!!!!
1. Fiat 1100 R
2. Imported LHD Fiat 1100 D (From CA)
3. Fiat 124.
All these cars are owned by Mr. Kannan.

Mr. Kannan's knowledge about old cars is commendable. He has complete technical knowledge of Morris.

Will post the pics on monday.

Oh yeah! It was a delightful visit to the garage. I had called Sharief sir yesterday night. He returned the call today morning and suggested to visit Kannan sir at the garage. Me and Arun immediately left and visited the garage.

As soon as we entered, we saw a range of cars. We got so deviated that, we first saw all the cars and then visited Kannan sir. He was kind enough to spend over a hour explaining the nitty gritty of cars and also Fiats and S1 too. He was pretty busy presently not to take my car in. He however, test drove my S1 and felt it was a pretty good car. He told us some of the things that need to be checked. Since he was presently busy handling some other cars, he said he will call us on Tuesday and tell us when we can leave the car in garage. He would check everything thats necessary for my S1 to deliver good performance and best mileage.

I now feel assured that my car would be in best possible condition shortly!

Hi ARUN,

Work is in progress and I have all the parts for electro plating and buffing. I am having a tuff time to get a shifter for my car which fits in the gearbox. Any suggestions on this.

@ Manish Bhai : I have found a couple of Java head light assembles which will be a close size for my original headlights.

Will post pics of the shifter and headlights soon.

Regards,
Saleem

Just came across a German website which has old newspaper/magazine ads of 1100s. They have the Indian ads of Premier Padminis too. Thought of sharing it here.

Fiat 1100 D, Neckar Europa - Prospekte

EDIT: Still feeling bad about letting the 1100 Delight slip off my hands when my Grandfather sold it.
