Sujith, I presume you would also take charge of the security arrangements needed if it happents at the Palace.
When we are in the Palace premises, we will have the Palace security by default. And for the Rally we will get on Patrol-car and 3 men in uniform, as directed by the PC of Bangalore.

Ohhh yeah.....MB (karthik1100) is very confident of taking his Fiat ANYWHERE!

I had a good time with my NE on a Goa trip (totalled 2k kms) and a Shimoga new year trip (Totalled 900kms) and a Chikmanglur trip (Totalled 600kms). I am still waiting to go on a very long trip on my S1 which I am more confident on than the NE. Fiats are more reliable in this aspect

The pictures are taken during New Year 2010. The sole idea was to spend the new year's eve with my sweetheart

Nice pics Karthik. Should have called us before you visit Cubbon park.

Any way, addressing the FCB board and members; I personally met the Mr.PANDIAN, General Manager of the Bangalore Palace on Monday(18th Jan). Thanks to Dr.Chandru for fixing an appointment for me. Spoke to him about the purpose of the meet and explained the functioning of the Club, and he seemed pretty convinced. There is a positive intuition coming in my mind that we will get the Palace for the Meet.
Mr.Pandian, GM of Bangalore Palace will confirm the Venue for us on Tuesday(19th Jan) by 12pm.

Here are a few pictures of the Venue:

[NOTE: Included package if Venue approved, 4 armed uniformed guards, 4 armed non-uniformed guards undercover. Security comes by default in order to protect the Palace and its property]

Kudos to Sujith . He is relentlessly trying to get the best venue for 26th Rally. This shows the true passion for the Fiats and also Fiat Club Bangalore.

If the rally happens in front of Palace, its history in the making. I just hope the venue is available for us and no one else has booked it.

Regarding the visit to Cubbon Park: Sujith, how could I not go on the street where we held all our rallys so far. I wanted to just drive there. And, based on your suggestions, I took pics in front of the Library. Wanted to do it in daylight though. Whenever I go there, I get reminded of your CAP and my MEO, the first 2 cars that met when our club was founded. This already creates a bit of nostalgia for me. Less than a year, see where we (club) are

@ Makam: Thanks Makam, Its because of Arun's wish to see the cars of FCB in front of the palace am trying my best. Regarding the CAP n MEO they made a REVOLUTION in the history of FIATs in INDIA .

@ Arun: Am waiting for Mr.Pandian's call. If not will give a try again in the evening. We should start calling(By phone) members by today evening as its already behind schedule as we had planned.

Yesterday when I was going to the Palace to meet Mr.Pandian in my FIAT regarding the RALLY, it developed some problem. Loud banging noise under the floor and also could physically feel the banging ! I stopped the car a couple of times and checked the Fuel n Brake lines thinking whether they were coming in the way of the Drive-line. But that too wasn't the issue.
After the noise got louder and continuous, I lost confidence and took a U-turn back home. That was near St.John's Church. Again I stopped at Ulsoor Lake as the sound turn scary and called my Mechanic for assistance, He pin pointed the issue saying its the Rubber coupling(Gear box-Differential shaft) fracture. And the vehicle can be driven still safely. That gave me the confidence and I drove back home. And took my Kinetic and left for the Palace again.

On tuesday afternoon I was curious as usual to know what was the cause of the sound n banging and found this !! Have a look at the pictures for yourselfs The ruptured metal piece was hitting the floor as the shaft revolved so the sound was fluctuating with the speed of the car.

I had this problem once a long time ago, It was a Sunday evening and I and the missus were driving back on NH48 to Bangalore and I heard the ominous sounds you mentioned near Kunigal. Now I did not have much of a choice to find a workshop on a Sunday, so limped in fist gear all the way to Bangalore. Took a few hours but still made it. Next day went to the workshop to get the coupling changed. Of course my coupling gave way due to wear and tear. Check if it has been assembled correctly.

Goodness! Drove 70 odd kilometers in 1st gear? That would have required a hell of a patience. A new record maye be
