Congrats karl! One more in your stable now! I recall seeing a pic. of this car in one of the rallies in b'bay recently.

But a real pity about the number I guess! Will you be reverting to the original DLD 13 plate??

I had the pleasure of driving back to Pune with Karl in this historic car yesterday. The car is pure bawa full of delightful eccentricities. It has a brand new roof lining, but century old seat covers, the front seat will swallow any and all unsuspecting documents, especially when nearing toll booths, the radiator will act as windshield cleaner, but only on the passenger side! DAMN! I don't remember the last time I had so much fun.

This is no DALDA, this is pure desi ghee!

Karl - A pic of the key insert ... Pretty please

The same picture is attatched in this thread. The gentleman had entered the car in the recently concluded Bombay VCCCI rally. Regarding the registration, I would have even re-registered the car in Delhi to regain the registration number, but unfortunately they don't register vehicles pre 2000 any more. I shall fit the original plates for photoshoot purposes I suppose. But the car shall always be DLD 'Dalda' 13 in my books.

Hello Karl
Congratulations on your new possession.
Any insights (if it is not a secret or personal) on how you found and closed the deal and as I feel this would make an intresting reading.

Regards
Rishi

I meant just that- why not you just retain the old DLD number on the plates?
I'm not talking about reveerting to the old regn. as I too know it can't be done.

Congrats on the purchase Karl. All the best with the restoration. Reminds me of the time we used to own a black DUkkar - BLO 37.

If I'm not mistaken, I guess I had seen this very car under Andheri flyover once. This was one day before the Supercar rally. I clearly remember a Dukkar Fiat being caught by the traffic cops and the cop was pointing out at the number plate. Did this car have old type plates (white numbers on black plate) till recently?

Congrats Karl. The car has been handed over to its rightful new owner. Hope you will look after it for more than 55 years!
