Just realising ....................

that the FIAT 1100 "Dukkars" in the FCCCI seem to be outnumbering the rest.
VOW!!!

Never thought that there may be so many still in existance and around, inspite of me not posting all the others that I don't have incl. Gogi's latest acquisition.
So guys please fill in with the rest of the Dukkar pics that I may have missed out.

May be someday we co-ordinate to have a collective and memorable photoshoot as well.

About the registration number - would this vehicle be eligible for a "DA" as in Daman reg number? Anyways, I think it is still possible to get a MH XX-YY 13 number.

Congratulations on DALDA 13. She's lucky to have been bought by you instead of a scrap dealer like so many others. Wish you all the best with the restoration.

thats impressive buy Karl, (part of a headline), though I understand there was some news that Tata will gift the first Nano to the lady.

Car looks very well maintained even though its 55 yrs old. Post some interior pics too. How many kms driven ?

Hi Karl,

Congrats! She's a lovely car!

And I know you have been collecting cockpit instruments and aluminum grilles and tail-light bezels and other parts over years, in anticipation of an opportunity like this.

I think it's the Kayaanaat at work!

Nice legacy she comes with, congrats Karl, on another acquisition. Mechanically she's pretty okay you say, but the visual factor could do with some attention though. Do at least a little bit for the glam quotient if not originality!!

Rony and egangsta, the white dukkars, MYM 1690 look really refreshing amidst the sea of the usual blacks, browns, dark greens and blues. The green-on-white, MH-03 A-30 is interesting and the sky blue, MHJ 7202 is pretty too (Mr. Dorabjee's, isn't it?).

Yes Prabal, MHJ 7202 is indeed Mr. Dorabjee's. You can see him in a red cap, standing next to it.

Sir, agreed, she looks terrible at this point. The rot is so deep there is no point trying to do 'thookpatti' cosmetic work right now, its too much! All in due time. Lets see what I can do for the time being. Any suggestions?

For now I am looking for 4 good replacement doors and a boot. And a body for that matter!
