Those aluminium bobs and bits have a nice finish on them . What did you use to achieve this.

Also is the red colour on the engine correct or were they originally black ?

For some reason every single Pennant I have seen in India has the entire engine bay coated in rough black paint, including mine. This practice was not followed with Fiat's and Amby's, its strange.

From what I understand the engine block, tappet cover, fan, air cleaner etc. were all painted black for the Indian market, but we cannot be sure. In the UK I think the block and tappet cover used to be in a gold finish.

Calrock, what a comprehensive restoration project !
The feel of driving this car when completed, will be exactly like it was when brand new, and being driven out of the showroom - probably even better. Good luck mate !

Congrats! Your effort finally seems to have paid off! I'm glad bout the attention for detail shown on the car, despite challenging nut & bolt restothat had to be done on it!!

I thought my Pennant was done up well, but the honours surely go to your car!

I do hope it'll be fitted with the correct Amby style convex hubcaps though. And how do you intend to manage with the windscreen rubbers?

Hi carlock, just been meaning to ask you for a long time. Keep forgetting. Are all the rubber sets for front windshield doors etc being produced for this car in India. Or did you improvise from some other car/ alternatively imported them. Thanks
