Got the spokes made through an exporter - he doesnt supply in local market but since I pestered him like mad he did this job.

He can make almost any kind of spoke.

You can send me a sample if you are interested and I will try to pester him to see if he will oblige!

Be ready for the dent in your wallet though!

Cheers!

Re: My BSA C12 1957 - Restoration

Dear All,

Long time...have been really caught up with my work. This weekend saw some progress on the assembly of the bike.

The Engine is done and in the bike - so is the gearbox.

The wheel hubs, rims and ss spokes with new 3.25X19" tires in place - not yet on the bike.

The front end of the bike is getting assembled - handle bar done. Bearing races replaced with new and in. New steering lock installed - the bike never had one when I got it.

The front shock rods - new ones from England are ready complete with their Gun Metal bushes. New Oil seals installed in the shock cups. Now need to be assembled. As soon as that is done the front wheel will also get mounted!

Wait for pics as they are all in my wife's camera and I need to download them into my comp before you all get to see them.

I am really happy with my bike's paint job

Cheers!

the made in england on the lucas headlamp looks great, even my BSA has the original head and tail lamp, but your looks as good as new, how did you manage that,is it the old one-refurbished or are you lucky enough to find a NOS,on the whole the bike is coming up really great, all the best

Re: My BSA C12 1957 - Restoration

Thanks for the appreciation Inderpalji, Jawabiker & Glomus 123.

We did a lot of permutation and combinations before we froze the color scheme. Didn't want it the mundane way but yet wanted the Vintage Era look and this color combo does just the same - add a bit of high grade chrome and stainless steel nuts and bolts and you are home!

Well the Lucas Lamp glass is NOS Genuine stuff - so is the Chrome 7" Rim. Reflector was sourced locally. Put together and it turned out brilliantly.

Have managed to source the original D Smiths Speedometer as well - Genuine Made in England stuff.

The chrome on the tank is done and now I need to get the paint strips done on it.

Couldn't find the brake shoes - front and rear - just managed to source the front and now am after the rear. Should get it in a day or two.

Will keep all of you posted.

Cheers

Hi SA7VA5,

Are stainless steel nuts and bolts available for all vehicles or are they manufactured on demand.
