Help required: Restoring my 1972 FIAT 1100D

I am based in Pune.
I need help and guidance for restoring my 1972 FIAT 1100D.

Please guide me on the following:
- Where can I get my car painted in Pune? I need a person who will do it with perfection.
- I need the original steering wheel for the car along with the FIAT horn button. Please let me know if any one has it.

Please help!

Welcome to Team-Bhp.

BTW, if it is a 1972 model, it should most likely be a PREMIER PRESIDENT (also another version of the Fiat 1100). Please check your RC book and re-confirm.

Roni, Didnt the Early 71 cars come as the 1100D and then sometime in mid 72 got a new name, the President?

You are right.
We should have the pictures to identify the model clearly.

Cyrus, I mentioned most likely because the PRESIDENTS were introduced in early 72's, though I'm not too sure which month, exactly.
Therefore, I suggested the owner to check the RC book for confirming. Since production in those times were scanty (evident from the long waiting periods for Delivery) ratio of '72 DELITES to PRESIDENTS were very less.

Um, so far I'd thought the President came out in '73? I do however, understand it was made only for a year.

Incidentally, one of our old family friends in the colony we lived in earlier had an early 70s delight bought brand new (around '73 or 74) and sold around 1997. I don't recall that car much in detail, except the "FIAT 1100D" badge on the rear. I can never forget it as that was the first such badge I ever must've seen closely and was what helped me realise why the padmini was called fiat!
However, my dad used to swear it was a President, going by the year it was bought in, and there was much debate on this subject between us when raised!
Until they themselves one day clarified to him that it was indeed a Fiat (1100D), bought among the few cars in the "last quota" before the President was introduced. So would this mean the the last of the delights were still sold even with the Presidents?

Thanks for all the knowledge you have shared. The badge under the hood says FIAT 1100 D. Here are the snaps (the grill is just a stand by, will be fixing the original one after the paint job is done. I dont want to get it stolen):

I dont know much about the FIAT cars. This is my third car. The first one that I bought 4 years ago is a W123 300D Mercedes Benz. The second one was a Standard Herald which I sold a couple of years ago.

Keep posting your ideas. I will get more knowledg on FIAT world.

Thanks!

Fenders or Bumpers?? Bumpers can be had from Gujari for Rs. 600 - 800 a pair. Steering depends can be had for 100 odd bucks if the seller does not know its value or can be upto 800 bucks. The Side repeater lights also not original and they can be had for Rs. 200 a pair. The grill should be around 400 bucks if avalable. Please post the engine bay and interior photos.

Thanks for your help Manish! Its really a very good piece of information. Sorry Bumpers not Fenders. Thanks for pointing out my mistake. Where is Gujari? I have bought the original side repeater lights. I have not put them on the vehicle as it is currently at the mechanics place and parked on road. Where can I get the origianl steering? I will post the engine bay & interior snaps ASAP. My mechanic was busy in his son's marriage and the keys are with him.

Sorry! Please excuse me Mr. Moderator (Please don't delete this message).

I forgot to put in a query in my last reply. I also want an original meter cluster (speedometer, odometer, etc.)
