Do share some pics of your cars if you dig some up.

I am particularly keen to know more about BYB 1490. Where was the BYB series registerd? I think it would be Gujarat, before the state was formed, along with BYA, BYE etc. (series not seen any more, unlike BYH, BYF which are still seen and valid)

For your enjoyment, here is a super picture I found on a flickr album, a car closely registered to yours.

Was it then part of the erstwhile Bombay presidency?

And jai, how about a little comprehensive write-up on the restoration process done on your milli?? Kind of like what is being posted with respect to your Herald?

No problem sir. I though the flickr page would have a link to a larger size, wanted to see the headlights from closer and was wondering why there are two tax badges on the rear view mirror.

Thanks a lot Chanu! The restoration process is still on and I managed to get recently the original wiper motors and even the Italian wiper arms. Iam still searching for the elusive "meter eye lids" .

I actually wanted to share one small experience with the wheel discs of this car which I had mentioned to Shyam and Shiva when they had come to see my car in Chennai. As you all know Millecento wheel discs are similar to Selects except for the perforations. Since it was difficult to get those kind of discs here I picked up the Select ones and had the holes closed. But the flip side is the welding cost is more than the cost of the discs.
