UPDATE. Finally the meter work is over. Had installed the meter, made direct connection to the clock and attached emergency clock switch. Also cleaned the combination switch. The various pics attached are self explanatory.

Its more than that. The casing is applied with 3 thin coats of heat resistant black paint after a thorough cleaning. Then first petrol based polish followed by wax based one is applied to make it look shiner and keep the plastic from getting cracked due to heat.

I have stated a step by step procedure in the http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1751516-post89.html i followed to get both the meter casings back in shape.

Planning in the end of march as i am busy nowadays searching for a job. Will surely organise the meet. BTW i have officially got one TEAM BHP member for my club. Dhruv. a.k.a Crackedhead. Please note that i am the only founder and initiator to this club so everything resides on me. I am not getting time to meet the owners of PP/fiats. When i get some time will surely organise a club meet to officially start the club. Now a days, i am busy collecting parts for my car for its restoration work.

New Members for the Fiat 1100 Club of Lucknow

Dear Samsag
In continuation of my PM, here are the pics of the Millecento/Delight & Select/Super Select with a few Topos thrown in, for the membership of your esteemed club. Although only the first two qualify for the 1100 Club, the 500s are also worthy contenders.

Regards
Perak

As stated previously the car came with that meter from the factory and it was never changed as whenever the car used to visit the garage i used to accompany it and sat there all the time watching the fun of repairing the car even as a kid. Adheesh already pointed out that it is an original one. Seems like i have a unique model of S1 the Special one.
I guess its again a case of fit whatever is available by Premier Auto. The instrument console that came with PP S1 was with a clock may be they wanted to mimic a tachometer. It was functional and good. The steering too was 2 spoke and not 4 spoke as yours. My car was a July 95 model, yet had the above.
I guess they fitted whatever was there in inventory. Infact they repeated the same console as yours in '97 models again albeit with a handbrake indicator.

appreciate the pics posted by you Mr. Perak. Both the 1100 are in pretty bad state. Are they the ones parked at bakshi ka talab. hope you restore them soon. I can also help in getting them back in shape. I have some links in scrapyard who stock old fiat parts. Actually i saw an old italian fiat standing there but was on sale and not for parts. The asking price was 50K. Anyways those 500s of your, and Agarwal sahab's can surely be the part of FCL (note the name Fiat Club Lucknow).1100 is just to add the familiarity. Any fiat model which is considered as old/classic/vintage is welcomed to join the club. Now i clearly know the Residence of Mr Agarwal. I think its just opposite the gate of Friends colony, G Marg. Correct me if i am wrong.
