FCCH first official Restoration

Today FCCH has initiated its first official "Save the Fiat 1100" move, when our life member Mr.Jitendernath started the restoration of his 1960 Select.
Im taking a thorough responsibility to ensure that the restoration happens effectivly and in time,so that the member realises the value of FCCH and is content with the work.
A few sample pics will tell you what condition the car is in !!!

Good going FCCH. Are all the original bits there or lost? What about the doors?

Compared to this car, Manish's car looks better!

Porbably 50% of the parts need to be sourced. That is the reason, this member has sought help from FCCH.
Doors can be easily procured.

Good luck with the restoration. Willing to see it as your red white combo looks. But feel sad as will not be able to help you (regarding parts) as there is no old model fiat left here for scrapping. Only padmini lookalikes are left.

Hillram: Start a new thread for the restoration as I think we might go off topic from FCCH here.

Arun,

Yesterday we talked of a donar car (Body) .

@ Ram: Since my Fiat Body is in very poor stage, we are looking at an option of a donar body, similar to the one shown by you. If you come across one let me or arun know about it.

Dont know if this is an OT,but I have dropped the idea temporarily,of adding a White Premier Padmini for my Italian Flag formation as I have purchased an immaculate PAL Peugeot 309 two days back.
I will be soon starting a thread.

Is it a GL or GLD, very good cars indeed. TUD5 diesel engine was a gem in its time.

Peugeot 309!!

Ram that's one of my wish list car to have it one day and you said "Immaculate" I want to see...I want to see.

Diesel or Petrol? Lovely front grille with the Lion symbol. Very comfortable car my uncle had two brand new booked from showroom white one was Diesel and the Grey mettalic was petrol. Diesel one was used for long drives and we did Hyd, Tirupati and vandalist broke the rear side glass and we had to drive all the way from tirupati as we could only find the glass in Hyd. Awesome cars.

Thanks Karthik.
This car has been unused for more than 10 years and hence it is literally a rust bucket. Most of the parts such as door handles, lights, beadings are missing. We are in the process of procuring them.
Steering and the speedometer are intact.
We have a tough job ahead in restoring this car.butim sure we will get there.
