Dear Adheesh - there is no difference by design. If any difference has crept in, it would be due to the proprietary nature of this part which is a vendor part. Such deviation is wrong but many things happen. I know that there is a depression in the inner side of the Padmini handle which is at variance to the drawing. This is vendor created. Then quality control will reject saying its a "design issue" and as R&D representative in the monthly meeting would I would fight it out saying that I cannot change the drawing just because somebody does something blah blah. If I tell you everything like that, you will tear your hair apart..

The number of fights I have had with quality control on Padmini wheel caps is a story of legends..

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

'N'- number of similar issues are seen over the years which were either due to discrepancies or were not documented at all. The most prominent one being the body metal quality or treatment quality. We both have been seeing that delight (MRJ 2954) under the Thane flyover. Absolutely nothing has changed since the time I saw it first sometime last year. Had it been a Padmini or especially the S1, it would have broken into two pieces by now due to the forces of nature that are constantly attacking it. Some things always remain beyond our control ! What to do ?? !!

Today was yet another Fiatful day for me.

In the morning I got 4 Aluminum inner door handles and 2 window handles from the scrapyard.

An hour ago, on a visit to the scrapyard I got 2 Aluminum Elegant wheel caps and one steel one. Also one Fiat grill monogram.

Great to see the addition to your collection. BTW will be off to scrapyard tomorrow (probably) to fetch some parts as 3 PP's have turned up there for scrapping. Actually the cars are chiseled around 8Am so its very difficult to get the said parts. Wish me luck for the aluminum grill though.

Good luck Sagar. Anyways, I collect parts not only for me but for others too. May be if a feasible way comes through, I can give the last Aluminum grill I have to you.

Till then Good luck!

The Aluminium wheel caps are of Early Delight and not Elegant.

I don't think so. Any model premier which has 2speed intermittent wiper will have it. It is fixed in same place where a socket is present in wiper park switch which Manish bought for me. Its not available in market as new unit.

May be you are right as this coupler and switch helps in intermittent running of wipers and to bring the wipers down to their default location.
Is there any chance to find the coupler. Is this coupler used in any other car like amby, jeep etc
