Yesterday i bought the bonnet flute along with some interesting parts from a Fiat 1100 Select which was scrapped in front of me.The parts include
the Original Brevetto horn button (came to know of this when i opened it up for cleaning)
and a pair of Jewel Lights which have some sort of LIGHT INTENSITY CONTROL MECHANISM. I think
this was helpful in the night driving to avoid the glare from it. Do correct me if i am wrong. Had to pay a premium price for the said parts though.
Pics are attached for reference and i think the flute is still on factory chrome.
BTW the car also had the original indicator stalk box though the levers had some sort of play the unit was intact. He was asking 400 for it so left it. The car had 2 original rims without clips. He quoted 400 Rs a piece for them. Will upload the pics of other parts on demand.

Premier Padmini S1 & Premier Padmini 137D - Plastic Wheel Caps.

Still searching for the plastic wheel caps that used to come with Premier Padmini S1 & Premier Padmini 137D. Please let me know if someone comes across them.
(They should have a PAL logo on their center & not the SS logo)
Here is the pic:

dhrishikesh i can help you with the said wheelcaps though they would be used ones. Will look out for them in scrapyard, hopefully today. IIRC Sunax were the OEM's to PAL. I hope you are not that specific though. Also i would like to state is that your specific requirement is doubtful as the PAL marking at the centre tend to fall off easily. So if you are OK with this do let me know as many, will be scrapped, cars here have these wheelcaps. I too have stocked a set for my car.

@ Sagar,
I would definitely like to have these wheel caps, though they will be used ones; but do make sure that they were probably in good condition & please try to get them with the PAL logo at their center if possible. Also post some pics of these wheel caps you will be seeing in scrapyard.
Thanks for the help from your side & waiting eagerly for your reply.

I can assure you that the said wheel caps will be 100% intact i.e. they wouldn't be broken from anywhere but can't comment on its paint. Although you can get the same done at any paint shop. Regarding the pics of the caps, will definitely do that. The average cost of a piece is somewhere between 40to 60 Rs which varies with scrappers.

@ Sagar,
Thanks once again for help from your side. Would definitely like to have those wheel caps from you. Will hope that those are not broken & will have a paint intact on them & also liked the price tag, as new ones may cost somewhat Rs.500/-.
Only one question, how can I get them here in Mumbai all the way from Lucknow.

Yeah truly said regarding the price of new wheelcaps, that too if available. The caps will have to be couriered from Lucknow to Mumbai marked Fragile. The cost of the same is still to be found though.

My recent acquisition of parts. Was lucky to fetch some parts off a S1 which was scrapped recently. Got the following which include the S1 parts:
1. Twin pipe Exhaust Manifold.
2. Brake fluid box with sensor.2 pc
3. Windshield washer box with spray pump. 2pc.
4. Ignition switch with original key (godrej) 2pc.
5. Very neat set of Cut glasses(quarter glass) with frame from a old Padmini.
6. Original S1 door (pull) handles and ash tray.

I really like the way these push button locks on cut glass operate.

thats the extra glass (tinted one) which accidentally came bundled with the other setFiat 1100 / Premier Padmini - Parts to Stock for FUTURE!-image0570.jpg

@ Sagar,
You are lucky to get the ignition key with a original key. Are they also fit on 137D's ??
(Would like to have one of them if you have them in spare & if they are fitting on 137D)
Didn't you got those plastic wheel caps today ??

dhrishikesh i can buy you one with original key, if you need as new ones are scarce and if available cost hell lot of money (around 1000 bucks to start). Regarding the fitment of the same on 137Ds i think they can be used though not sure about that. Do let me know of it.
Yeah searched high and low for the caps but found only Magna ones which were of worst quality and broken too.

If procured from scrapyard the price of the ignition switch varies from 150 to 350Rs depending on the condition. My personal choice is to get an idea of the switches before purchasing them. So i pick the ones only after using them & which are the main switch in that car else worn out cylinder, loose contact et al sort of problems prevail.
