Hey Canonball,

Thank you for your kind words! Just received my next parcel from Europe this time. I got the much needed map pockets. Attaching the pics. My left front one is broken so one is extra/spare for a rainy day.

Thanks Jaggu,

I have stopped counting and am sure its somewhere near the whole restoration budget I started off with. And I have not yet started stripping the car. Let's see where it leads ...

Dear Machdar,

Great going Mate !!
Just a small query - how do you get the items shipped and cleared for customes ? Does the shipping agency do it for you and you pay them ?

Machdar that's the way to go, buddy all guns blazing. I like your spirit. OEM parts will set this car apart from pack. MB classic centre also offer genuine MB tex interior fabric and material. I am sure you will consider it for your beauty.

Thanks Guys,

Yes contemplating MB tex, but not finalised on the color combo right now!

Ravindra - to answer your query no I have no agency helping in custom clearance just doing it myself.

Why dont you request MB classic center in Stuttgart to send you a copy of the data card for your car, it is a free service and for 100 Euros they will even print out a beautiful Certificate for you and list your name in their archives for posterity. Of course you need to send them a copy of your papers and the chassis and engine no of your car. From the data card you will get all the fabric, lining order numbers, also you will find details like make of radio, original place of delivery etc. Its really cool.

Yes You will have to write a letter and attach all the documentation, then they will send you the stuff in a month or so. I will give you the details on the weekend.
