Yesterday,I was at a client meeitng in Paris and in their reception area,I found this pristine Vespa restored to original condition.
I have never seen this model.Any one can identify this model?

Superb model ram!!
Never seen such kind of handlebar, speedo, design at both rear side covers near footrest. Amazing. I think this model was never introduced in India.

Yesss, this is the one!! I love that patina look it has!

I even met the owner incidentally, he'd checked out my LD (similar model) here on 15th august last year.

The yellow & white KA 03 scoot IIRC, was a series 2 when I saw pics. of it from a previous rally!!

According to the Vespa Maintenance and Repair Series handbook that I have, this should either be a Vespa 42L2 (1955-56) or a 92L2 (1956-59). The white walls look tempting!

Hi folks it's been quite sometime this thread is quite and idle, even my restorations are set idle as I was out in Chennai for a month and now my friend who happens to be a mechanic is out of town till this month end, vespa is spread across my bed and the other vespa is yet to be brought home. Time is moving really slow and have no clue what to do, eagerly waiting for my Sparrow to come alive.

2011 has been busy time for most of us.Work,travel,restorations and other commitments have been hindering our meets.
I have been busy restoring a LML Vespa Select , LML Alfa and reaquiring a 1962 Vespa 150 and finally in the process of acquiring a Fiat Uno.Phew !!
But no excuses.
Bala,Rahul,Sushil...we will soon plan up a Scooter meet.

Uno!! wow magical car, I had it for more than 3 years, I have never seen a car such sturdy, comfortable and safe car. Unfortunately I had to part with it due to bringing in Palio I regred it till date.

Reg scooter meet I would take some more time as I will be able to finish my scooter by 1 or early 2nd week of Mar however I will be updating my thread, please bear with me.

All the best Ram sir in you projects. Alfa is a nice scooter to have. It is the only scooter in LML stable with a glove box on the side dome instead of a spare wheel and it was the straight contender for Bajaj Cheatak which was holding the market for it having the spare wheel in the rear which is benifical for carrying load and gave secure feel for ladies who sit on one side.

Try looking for other models like T5 it was available in two shades German Red and White which is the initial model for Select, I & II. There are few other models which were available from LML stable like alfa elstart, Star, Prithvi this unique scooter which had the rear lamp in center of the spare wheel in the back pure Indian named and there was another scooter I don't recollect the name which had the smaller size wheels like Vespa/ Bajaj 150 and a different shape handle bar. I think 20th March 2011 sounds good. It will give us time to spread the word so that we can have more people joining us. We can meet up at the usual spot, Necklace Road MMTS station and then decide where to go depending on everyone's preference. Fellow HCSCians, please pour in your thoughts.
