Re: Vintage Car Fiesta at Secunderabad Club - 12th December 2010

Ah! those Jeeps.

Nice photographs and coverage, there were about 60+ at the show I heard as this was a club event.

Incidentally, a very highly respected person in the world of Classsics and Vintages in India told me after the show, that Hyderabad is the only city that enters Jeeps along with cars regularly for all shows.

His respect and praise for the Hyderabad Jeeps was noteworthy.

[quote=anjan_c2007;2174754]Thanks Scarlet Rider for the lovely pictures. The restoration levels at Hyderabad are quite above par.

Dr Luqmaan, an elderly eye specialist with his house and clinic at Abids, used to have an original Buick Super Eight parked within his small compound edge to edge. I saw this car till the early 1980's.As far as I remember it had a two tone paint scheme. Do you have any idea as to where the car is?

Hi,

The LIGHT GREEN /DARK GREEN BUICK of DR LUQMAAN is now a part of a big collection of vintages n classics in Hyderabad .

Mohammed sahab,
Nice seeing you on the forum.
I too remember how it was parked facing outward, that was back in the late 70's, on my way to school.

Re: Vintage Car Fiesta at Secunderabad Club - 12th December 2010

Hello everyone,

Great pics. I especially like the lovely Austin 7s, the American cars and the little Wolseley. Am surprised at the generally high level of good maintenance on these cars.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing it is treat to see all lovely cars. BTW who owns black Austin 10 tourer with plate No. APX xx25 (full plate is not visible), seems to be first time entry. Morris-10 prewar (APP 4436) also seems first time entry.

Cheers!
