A 1929 Chevrolet Tourer belonging to the erstwhile Maharajah of Rewa is under restoration at Nagpur. The car was in a ramshackle condition when I saw it first here at this garage, but has now got into shape. Though the original spares are quite difficult to procure,the restoration work is progressing at a decent pace. I would avoid comments on the quality of restoration as the persons doing so have their limitations, being aged senior citizens. The garage owner is aged 68, while the mechanic who is working on it is ......... would one not be shocked ? He is 80 years old and has worked many vintage and classic cars ! The will power of the senior citizens to restore a car nearly 85 year old car deserves all the accolades!

The engine has been now started and the steering, gearbox and electricals are all in working condition.

Looks like it's going to be a tough restoration job! Would you be able to post some pictures post restoration, will you have access to the vehicle / garage later?
I am sure this restoration will add great value to the experience of garage owner and mechanics involved.

If this vehicle is with the so called Garage in civil lines, i highly doubt the end results.

Can the location of the garage be disclosed so as to have look?Have heard about a few restoration jobs at the workshop in MIDC Hingna but the owner isn't a 70 year old for that matter.
