Thanks. The first car is likely a Delage D8; the second probably a 1932-ish Chrysler Imperial.

.

My better guess would be a Cord L series in the image below . While the black Limo would be a Cadillac . Both cars could be 1931/32

While I still would say that Travancore would be correct on the CHRYSLER guess. With the louvres on the bonnet of the limo and handles don't indicate an European set up . Not too sure

Thanks for sharing

Did this company also manufacture horse drawn vehicles . Anyone remembers a Movie of Amitabh Bachan called " Hum " . There is one such vehicle sans the Body in a scene in the hills or where he has retired etc. Faint memory but I am dead sure of this info both by name and the link to that Movie

You have correctly identified the car as GWL2 (ex-Udaipur)

In the picture below a young HH Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II can be seen along with Maharani Gayatri devi of Jaipur , a car can be partly seen in the background, look like the young royal couple were out on a picnic.

The car is probably their 1939 Bentley 4 1/4 litre #B45MX. Coachwork is a striking saloon by Barker, but I remember reading that it was finished after the Hooper takeover, so apparently the last Barker body.

Another shot of the Lathia (Limbdi?) Amilcar we have seen in Manvendra Barwani's book before.

How rich were the Maharajas before Independence! Cars of the Maharajas-amil.jpg

This same car probably came to Pune, for sale at Metro Motors and purchased for a princely 750 rupees by someone known to me. It was later given to a friend in Bombay to maintain petrol allowance, and probably scrapped subsequently.

It should be a 1933 Pontiac - four vertical louvres on bonnet side; and traditional chrome headlamps. I believe only an 8-cylinder was offered.
The Ajit Bhawan in Jodhpur has one in fine nick.

The 1934 had horizontal louvres; and body colour "bullet" headlamps.
