The coaches are the same - AEC Regals

The R-R (last photo with children) is the Patiala Silver Ghost 52CW, a Barker Torpedo. The car was painted Deep Violet + Black wings. There have been photos posted before, with the car and Maharaja against the mountains at Chail. Need to find them.

Sorry about the back to back posts. Just saw this now.

The car is very much alive and slowly but surely coming back to its old glory.

You can see a few pictures on this post and thread. It has both its Willocq- Bottin headlamps back on.

The owner / restorer is very much on this forum.

How rich were the Maharajas before Independence! Cars of the Maharajas-baudh-austin-seven-1927.jpg

photo ca 1927. Baudh seems to have been in erstwhile Orissa.

Many similar examples abound in Hyderabad.

Thanks for finding these lovely photos.

CHUDA-10 is a 1939 Oldsmobile.

Another view of the Chuda fleet below

How rich were the Maharajas before Independence! Cars of the Maharajas-chuda-state-auburn-fleet.jpg

The cream coloured CHUDA no.4 seems to be the same car in KartikeyaL's first picture.

Posted on fb by Mr. Partha, this car which I think is a 1927 Studebaker belonged to Maharaja of Jeypore in Odisha.

Re: How rich were the Maharajas before Independence! Cars of the Maharajas

Here are a couple of really super images that I haven't seen before, showing a Mercedes 170V Roadster of Maliya State (I doubt any connections to Kingfisher ). The lady pictured is Maharanisaheb Kanak Kunvarba Jadeja of Maliya State.
