This pretty boat-tail Phantom II supposedly came from Baroda. Is it known to us?

This car could have been a Maharajahs car, but who was Prince P. Singh of Baroda? Either an error in the name, or a tale! In Baroda we had Gaekwad's no surely no Singh's eh? Someone should check the documentation. In the days of old Julian would have done some research for us.

Bombay finds a mention in this 1918 ad for 'the best car in the world'.

Rolls Royce in Bangladesh

This Rolls Royce used to belong to Maharaja of Rangpur. There was another identical one in the same stable which is exported to England. I don't know much about this car. All I know that it's 1926. Attaching two pictures of the above mentioned car. I hope that you guys will be able to enlighten me more about this car.

Regards,
Reshad

Hi!
Next time you get a chance, look at the palte under the bonnet and take down the chassis no.
This is ofcourse a 20HP with non original headlights. I do not fancy the side lights too. And it also sports the famous Calcutta bumper seen on other cars like Auburn.
In all a nice car. Can you send clear side view and rear view pics?
Also of other Bangla Desh cars.

Cheers harit

Hi Harit,

This car belongs to a very restrictive collection, i tried to get a pic of the plates and engine but could not find any luck. But i'll try. Head lights are non original but the side lights are original as far as I know, don't know anything about the bumper. I am afraid that i won't be able to get any more pictures of the car within next year as I am not in Bangladesh. But i'll try my level best.

There is no other classic apart from the one I posted. There is a 60's Rolls Royce which I am attaching now. Rest are new cars.

Fellow member sabinesnubbing shared this photo of a Hyderabad registered Rolls. I don't think we have documented it earlier, have we? Any more details?

karlos any idea whose car it is. BTW APY is a late regestration so this car must have had a different plate earlier, original Hyd cars of this vintage would be APX.

I have no more details, hence I have put it up here.

APX too is a later registration for a car of this vintage. APX was preceded by yellow HY plates if I'm right. Anyway we cannot be certain that this is an original Hyderabad car.

DKG, Harit and others - is this car familar to you?

While browsing through my old albums, found these pics taken at Bhopal at Vintage car exhibition in 2002, both the cars are from Sanghi Collection, Indore. 1933 RR 20/25 Boat tail and 1933 RR phantom II, any more details of these cars...

The 1924 Twenty in post #997 is chassis GMK63 ex-Dinajpur. The body is not the original one which was a coupe by Stewart (or Steuart) of Calcutta.

Hi Park-Ward,

Thanx for your information. Do you have any period picture of the car.
