Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Just the Rolls is being done up in Indore by Mr. Manvendra Singh. I don't have details of WIP pictures etc. It will be on display at the forthcoming Cartier event so I guess we all have to wait until then. |

The chronology I think can safely be referred as APX was around 50s and APY as around 60s. Have had both of these registration vehicles and grown up listening to all this. ... and this was for the entire Nizam Province. The ones I know.. APX was registered in Hyderabad and APY was in some place in Guntur. cheers,

| ![]() Absolutely. As I said, the reg no.s were for the entire Nizam province, as it seems. APY was for Hyderabad as well as for Guntur.Since both of them were (and are) under one state. May be the numbers had quotas too (like 1-x for HYD x-y for some other place etc).. who knows. |

Guntur was APG (then ADG/AAG/ATG and so on later) APY was only for hyd. from the early 60s (although someone earlier said it came out the same time as APX and represented the 'Atraaf baldiya', I'm positive it came out post 1950s and was for hyd. only as well) and was succeeded immediately by APU. ![]() So, cheers mate. May be we have different versions. Atraaf baldiya, btw, could just mean a Municipality. I have lived around the erstwhile MCH building and have grown up around a 'baldiya' building as such. and atraaf, by a quick google shows the meaning as 'around/environment', so am not sure what an atraaf baldiya would mean. cheers,
