The same car indeed, and a much nicer picture!

Why do you think it is a Ford B? Those bonnet vents are distinctive.

The Ford B refers to the second picture in post 252 - the one with H.E.H. stepping out.

The larger car is a 1933 Cadillac - can't say if V8 or V12. The only difference was in badging. The V16 had different (elongated horizontal) bonnet vents.

The cars are permanently housed in a museum in one of the Nizam's palaces called Chowmahalla Palace, located in Hyderabad India. It's open six days a week and closed on a Friday. I should think its open 10-5 pm. There is a website you could browse through.

Can some of our Hyderabad friends help get some nicer pics ?

There also seems to been a premanennt exhibition started in 2013.

I have seen this Singer in Mr. Saloo Choudhury's place in Calcutta. I don't recall him referring to the Nizam being the first owner of this car. The Singer shares garage space with a lovely early La Salle, ex-Baroda (or Patiala?) I remember the owner saying.

I believe the La Salle is ex-Mandi State. Subject to correction of course!

Personally, I am not convinced yet. Especially, because of the RR SG connection.

The SG is in fact chassis 180LG, which is an ex-Nawanagar car (exported by Lars de Jounge)

Basalath Jah had a 1939 Packard Eight convertible in blue (it was ordered along with our sedan and one for the agent of Berar) His wife begum Nafisa used a 1941 LaSalle. I doubt the K series Merc would have been bought for his use. The ones really fond of good cars were Azamjah and Maozamjah and of the Merc I am aware of him having is an SS of which pictures have been posted.

Now here's a chance of a lifetime - the Nizam himself has an olx account and is selling his Rolls-Royce - or more correctly, his rose royls
