Siddharth's Wolseley 14/60

A 1939 Wolseley 8 is to undergo a comprehensive restoration in Hyderabad. This car is reported to be of one of a few released in 1939. A list of spares and works to be carried out is also provided. Can someone help? Cheers!

My father has seen this car during its glorious days and also enjoyed traveling in it standing on the front seat and poking his head out of the sunroof.

In 1991, when our ancestral property in Varanasi was being sold, this car was also planned to be sold. However, there were no buyers giving the true value for it. The Wolseley had been grounded for approximately two decades and wasn't in working condition. When this happened, I was asked whether I would like to have the car and maintain it. I more than happily accepted the proposal.

Great job on preserving this history. Wish you many more miles!

Happy to share that Sidd Swarup & his lovely family joined us last Sunday in their Wolseley for the first time!

Will update the Calcutta Drive thread with our last drive.
