One of the pre-50s Fiat model that was famous-Fiat Topolino.A convertible and a cute looking one.
One of them came up for Sale in Hyderabad, but it was not all orginal and the seller was asking for an astronomical price.

One more photo of Doc's Fiat, magnificient side view.
BTW, Topolinos are cute cars, normally not convertible but have a roll down rag top. These cars are old and many have engine problems, that is why many are just lying around.

This car belongs to Doc, and his club had orgnised an event where mentally challenged children were treated to rides.

Is that a good picture ? You and the car look to be from the same period !!!

This is the Fiat Corsa of Mallya which came from Hyderabad.
The grill appears to be fabricated.

I would say that this is no Fiat, because of the front wheel cap. Unfortunately picture is not very clear.

This is Fiat 1933 as per the owner, this car is with the family since 4 decades. However it was not seen any rallies or in any events. Last time
I had seen 2 yrs back it was not properly garraged parked in the small lane with light cover, owner said it was not for sale.

I can guess the location. It Tank Bund in Hyderabad. Car going towards Secunderabad. I used to sail in this lake many moons ago.

And if I may hazard a guess its a Fiat as this is a Fiat thread.

I do remember this car from way back but can't place it now.

Harit there the remains of a similar Ballila lying very close to Tank Bund in Hyderabad at one time too. In fact the Fiat in the picture is driving toward this Ballila which was on the shore of the lake along with a Opel and some other assorted machinery.

Yes Wasif bhai, you are right, first we spotted this car on Tank bund, passed very fast, I took the picture. Then we were curious to find this car, unable to trace it. But luckily once we were visiting Zoo, we find this
car and took the owner's permission to take snaps. So the second picture
is in Nehru Zoological Park. Later we got owners address and ask if he can sale, he politely say no. After many years again I located their home and requested again if he can sale, again he is nice gentlemen, very politely reply it is not for sale. They are famous autoparts dealers in Siddiamber bazar. I wish they properly garaged it and bring in vintage car rallies, this car looks big in picture, but it is small like Austin-7 size. I was sad to see it parked in street with tornout cover and colour fading and nickel getting exposed to weather elements.

This is among the earliest Fiat's left in India.
Today it belongs to Pranlal, but when I saw her first she belonged to a Parsi gentleman. The car was often seen on a pertol pump in Byculla and on another petrol pump on Nepean Sea Road which is no more. This pump was located where you now enter Priyadarshini Park.
This car is of around 1909, other old Fiats seem to found in Patiala and Indore.

Cheers harit

This is the 7 seater I was talking about.
She belonged to a gentleman who used to come regularly for rallys. Then the crown wheel pinion broke. That is when we took her over. The mechanic with whom she was lying was fed-up, he had dismantled the rear axle, did not get the parts and his place was blocked. So she was sold to us at a reasonble price

The deal was to take the car away immediately, this we did and kept her to my friends place in the Bhavans college lane. It took us about 2 years to sort out the problem. Then she was taken for tin painting and sold to a builder who wanted her bad. Car was patched, first coat was given and the new owner abandoned the project. After letting her rot for a few years he took the car. Present whereabouts are unknown.

Harit, That was so long ago. I had totally forgotten about IARC. What has become of Peter Travasso' Fiat? Do you have photos of the old vintage rally events? I have a few. How I wish we had digital cameras before Karl's time. I remember once going with a camera and using up 3 rolls of 36 and not a photo from any.

This Peter Travasso guy used to bring his red Fiat convertible to rallies in Hyderabad too and it was also claimed to be a 1919 or something similar.

I too would like to know what happened to him and the car.
