Also check out Post # 93 in the Cars of the Maharajas thread for a bit more info on the Bahawalpur V-16. There seems to be some professional opinion that it was European bodied. I am no expert!!!

You guys are right, the Caddy V-16 was indeed bodied (in very small numbers though, I've been informed) by some of the other specialist coachbuilders. I just had a chat with someone that I consider an authority on these matters (since I'm travelling I don't have access to my library, and the www is still not a source I can trust unless I can surf and sift extensively) and she educated me. According to her, the European coachbuilders also retained some of the styling cues of Fisher and Fleetwood in their coachwork. Live and learn, every day... my thanks, folks.

The V16 database lists out the following as the non Fisher Fleetwood coachbuilt bodies

Bronkhorst, Netherlands
Duvivier, USA
Eureka, USA
Farina, Italy
Kellner, France
Murphy, USA
Nordberg, Sweden
Rollston, USA
Saoutchik, France
Unknown, Spain
Van den Plas, Belgium and UK
Voll & Ruhrbeck, Germany
Waterhouse, USA

The above information is off the Cadillac Database website at 1930 V16 photos - custom and foreign

Its really quite a comprehensive database with very interesting info. Do check it out when you have the time

EDIT: Oops realised we have gone seriously offtopic on the otherwise lovely thread from Steve of Alpineeagle, my apologies Steve.
