You are right vintagepoint5. My dad bought the Yellow Ford (1928 Phaeton, I think) in around 2000 and we got the engine running and some of the paint work done upto the point shown in the previous picture I posted. As far as I know the car was lying outside and rotting until my father bought it. We sold it along with a red Austin chummy a couple years after we moved to the US, as we lost interest in the cars. When you mentioned a yellow Ford I got curious about whether it was the same Ford and whether the restoration was ever completed on it. Well anyway, I've posted a couple pics of the yellow Ford as we found it, just in case anyone was interested.

Hi Norton4ever, great to hear from you about Yellow Ford, I was speculating that this yellow Ford may have been with you at some time.
Even last year I had seen one red Austin still lying with body repair shop.

If yellow Ford restored well it could turn out to be nice car, but I am afraid with the people I had last seen last time, cannot expect the quality of restoration work.

Anyway I wish it could be go to good owners. Some of the best cars from
Hyd is going out of Hyd.

Vintagepoint5.

This is interesting as I remember seeing this Yellow Ford in the unrestored condition posted by norton4ever, cant remember where though, do enlighten us on this norton4ever.

I rememberwe tried to negotiate with the mechanic who had this Ford for teh front grille and the chrome surround on teh fuel tank, I wanted these for the Yellow Roadster I was working on for Iqbal Patni but the deal fell thru.

The other Ford you are speaking of, ex Zain Yar Jung, wher was it located.

My family from Aziz Bagh also has a 36 Ford V8 single owner tourer in brown and it was a big car.

The Speedo meter bought is Oval but the dash panel for round speedo meter.

All the best for the restoration

Why don't you start a new thread with all the pics and details of your car. Maybe then we could help you get the parts.

Re: Restoring a 1930 Ford Model A

Now that the mechanicals are mostly completed, this beauty is slated to visit a paint booth for a decent paint job.

Looking for some really good painters in Hyderabad who has some hands on experience in painting vintage cars.
