I received the helmet today. It is matte black color. The Blue Dart courier guy said they have received around 2000 helmets from Droom.

With every new delivery confirmation, i was constantly wondering as to who was subsidizing the cost of the helmet. Giving up close to 800 bucks on thousands of shipments couldn't be a child's play. I received the helmet as well last week, it's the one with Glossy finish. Will keep it in my car boot and will hand it over to some one in need.

After using the helmet for 1month for short errands, the visor developed a crack today. I have been handling the helmet very carefully but still this happened. Got it replaced for 50 bucks.

ISI marking is something any product can easily get. It doesn't really ensure any quality.

I have this one and it's literally a piece of thermocol.

And the police want you to wear this helmet and not the better ones out there.

Basically, one has to wear a cheap helmet and die. If you wear a good helmet and survive, police will fine you and the insurance company wouldn't want to honor your claim because you were wearing a good helmet that actually works.

@saitanay - Thanks for sharing the video on droom helmet.

I started a habit of gifting helmets to random people who does not have any (started couple of years back). I buy Indian brands like Vega/Studds which cost under 1K. I have the same droom one (got it during initial sale), did not like it's quality so never bothered to give it to anyone. It is lying idle at home and planning use it for chopping onions.

WTH. Immediate need to report this to ISI/concerned authorities. In the name of marketing DROOM is playing with consumers lives. We for one donot even know if this is actually ISI mark helmet or not.

Glad that I still haven't used this helmet even once, nor gifted it to anybody.

Only reason why I ordered that helmet in the first place and decided to keep was because of the ISI certification. But after watching this video I'm confused what to do with it.

Well that what Droom advertises it as - ISI marked helmet. And the helmet in the video as well as the one that I received have the ISI mark on them.

Thanks for sharing the video. Although it was never expected to be of great quality, this is absolutely horrifying.

Guess the assumption that 'ISI Certification' assures some level of quality is literally 'torn to pieces' with this video.
