The quality of Indian AGV is bad when you compare it with teh GP one.

I can vouch for that.

The GPone helmets have one of the best interior paddings, quality wise, of any indian made helmets. The indian made AGV (made by MPA helmets) don't have the same quality interiors, the shell of both the indian AGV and the GPone are good quality, GPone better.

I have an original made in italy AGV X-vent (same type and the indian agv comes nowhere near that original. Of the Indian helmets i would recommend the the GP one better. Anybody buying either of these please check them side by side. The visor mechanism of the AGV is better though.

Anyone have any inputs regarding the GPR helmets? The quality seems good, the price is 4.2k but don't have much idea of the brand except that it's from Korea.

Hi Drifter,

I know that we can get them in South Mumbai. Do not recall the exact street names, but it is the road which continues from Lamington road and on the stretch between Novelty Cinema and Mumbai Central, just after one of the signals, you will see a shop on the right hand side selling just helmets.

Been ages since I have been there and really cannot recall the street names. You should be able to get a decent one for 2.5 to 3K.

I use an Index myself bought from Goregaon for 1.8K. It is lightweight and has a mirror finish visor.

Two very popular helmet makers in India.
GP One series is available from SteelBird.

I currently use a Modular R4 helmet from Studds Bieffe.
Its a tad heavy but very comfy.

well i think that concludes all the discussion for the best helmets and the brands available in Bangalore and Mumbai i guess. now some one please help me out with the helmet brands in Hyderabad.

man i currently use a volga Guardian style helmet(costed me around 800bucks) this has been a good one but the interior cannot be removed completely and washed so i use a skull cap along with it every day and wash it once a week and good brands available in Hyderabad mention the place too if possible i am willing to stretch my budget till 3k max people please help!

From personal experience, it is best to purchase helmets online from closeouts on quite a handful of bike related websites. The only bummer is that one has to be certain about the size and has to have someone coming down.
mawonline.com, newenough.com, denniskirk.com, bikebandit.com have some great D.O.T & Snell approved helmets between 50-100 USD with 5-7 USD for shipping.
In some cases buying an additonal visor could cost you as much as 60% of the price on the helmet.

Need to buy a GPOne clear visor

Hi Team,

I need to buy a GPone clear visor - either in Bombay or Pune. Any pointers will be great.

I have a full black one, which is great in the day, night riding however is painful.

I keep the visor open and use my Yellow glasses, but the wind noise is a major irritant.

Why not fit an AGV visor and enjoy scratchfree riding?

I'm not sure what you mean? Does the AGV visor fit a GPOne?

@thefreak

Those were two separate questions asked by Su-47 and Manaa45. They were looking for helmets for their brother and husband respectively. So no miscommunication if you read the thread carefully.

Thanks for your link, but what i need right now is a place to pick up a GPOne Visor.

Lohitrao - I havent understood your statement either!
