Help for jackets for women : I know people spend months researching and deciding on their jackets but I have to decide by the time it is Monday in the US.
I am on a shoe-string budget here so I cannot go for the Alpinestar Bionic that I really want. I am thinking mesh and something in the range of 100 dollars (give or take 20). So, if any of you have done any research on jackets for women, please share your information.

PS: I am also open for something locally made but I am not sure such things exist.

If you are going for the bionic ones that retail for around USD 100 / INR 5250 then go for it. I have been using this for over six to eight months (around 8000kms to be precise) and they are really good.

Only downside is that the quality of velcro sucks and after some time they refuse to stick and come off while riding which can be very distracting and dangerous. So i just bought a velcro strip and stitched it onto the existing ones on the strap. The smooth side of the velcro is the culprit here. Other than that it is very comfy on the bike. While walking around it slips down so that you have to keep in mind (stays in place while riding so no complaints here).

Yes, that is the one I have in mind.

Where can I get the velcro strip that is fit for the knee guard? I am thinking about getting it done in an upholstery shop.

Velcro strips are available in rolls. You can ask a tailor in the neighborhood and he might have some or will be able to direct you to a shop that sells them. Bag repair shops might have them and will be able to stitch them on to the knee guards for you. I paid 20 bucks for a roll which is a few feet long and another 20 bucks for stitching.

I have used the boots for a few hundred kms and they have broken in well. I used to find it difficult to upshift and feel the rear brake pedal but now its just perfect. Walking is also very comfy but dont expect to take long walks in it. Its a good riding boot but not designed to walk with them on.

Overall very happy and the quality is top notch. Highly recommended.

It retails for USD 100 in the U.S.

Planet DSG sells them for around Rs. 5250. These knee guards are slightly bigger than the ones that i have seen. I wear it over my jeans.

Got DSG Nero Jacket. Ordered online. I do not have much experience with the fitting of such jackets. How should be the fitting of the jackets.
Below are couple of things i checked for, let me know if i am missing something.

1. Jacket should not be loose fitting(Like too much in length)
2. Arms length should be perfect(Should not extend to your palms, should end at the wrist)

Any suggestions ?

what is your shirt size? mine is 40 and hence i got large - even tried it at the outlet (Orion). the Nero comes with an inner lining for cold weather. if you get a size small, you'll not be able to wear the jacket at all.

Is there anything called anti-glare sunglasses for bikers? Something to wear when riding at night and avoiding the glare of headlights on high beam from oncoming cars.

mantrig - I would seriously recommend gloves which have proper knuckle protectors which the gloves you bought don't seem to have. And buy leather ones too specially around the palm area. In case of a crash (God forbid) whichever of the two (palm/knuckles) land first, will get proper protection and minimize damages if you go for the one I just mentioned.
