I agree with manson regarding the laceless shoes. Its a scary thing to happen.Something as simple as trying to stop at lights,and then finding the lace entangled in the lever! Sometimes this happens just as you try to put your foot down, and if the shoe gets stuck you end up falling flat on your side with the bike over you. Easy to break a few bones,or dislocate some.
And always go in for shoes with raised ankles,as these protect the area all around the ankles in the event of a crash.

Bluu, at the price point I think you're looking at, from personal experience I would highly recommend HJC you are going to by abroad. They have a superbb range of helmets, very bang for each buck you'd be spending.
So good that apparenty JR outsources their helmet range from HJC and in many cases sells an almost identical product barring the graphics for a premium.
Wierdly, no motorcycle apparel dealer in India has started to stock HJC till date.

Got Alpinestars SPX gloves for temporary use since better gloves were outta stock. Will get better ones soon. Had to get something since I'm attending a Trackday with the NSR and gloves were compulsory.

Heh, Its Singapore

the "700SGD" should have given away my location. Anyways had a spill, left knee busted. Learnt my lesson, gonna get full leathers in the next 2 days and have another go if possible this weekend.

Did a ride after a gap of 17 long years, yet to buy a riding boot, have just ordered one from Cramster, picked up rainproof jacket and riding gloves from cramster, iam looking at a clear (transparent) rain pant, can some one suggest??

Received my HJC IS16 Anthracite helmet and Orazo Safety's Picus riding boots. I am yet to try out the HJC but I wanted to pen down a quick initial review of the Orazos. The boots are amazing for their price. The build quality is rock-solid and even though I have only spent 6-8 hours in them till now, I found them a near-perfect fit right off the bat. Also, they are well designed and very comfortable. The reinforced steel-toe is incredibly strong and the boots look striking. I would definitely suggest it as a good budget boot to anyone who cannot afford Alpinestars or the like and would like a riding boot that is comfortable enough for daily use as well. Vir, over at Verala Leather was very helpful and courteous.

I will post a more detailed review with pictures if anyone wants. Will also post a write-up on the Anthracite once my bike is fixed and I take the lid for a spin. Cheers!

Bought Alpinestars GP Pro gloves and Fox Knee Pads for the track. Man the gloves are good!

Any suggestions for track boots? Need a pair immediately.

Sunnyboi: If you can go the whole hog, Sidi Vertigo, apparently the best there is.
