The RJAYS Octane jacket is the one I'm basing my opinion on. Friend has been using it for easily over 6+ years now. A few falls as well. Its held up beautifully. A wash and it still looks good. The armor is nice and snug and hard. And the rain proof liner keeps him drier in a heavy downpour than many very good 100% waterproof jackets (best way to assess is to compare wet patches on T shirts after a ride to know where the water is getting through - and how much of it).

I don't have anyone in my circle who has Spartan gear so cannot comment.

Oh ok... My opinion was based on rjays swift in comparison with the helios . I don't want to crash test the jacket to check it's durability hehe.

Bought a Spartan Pro Gear Helios XL Black, got it delivered yesterday. Snug fit, quality armours and good looks makes the buy totally worth it.

Yes its a mesh jacket, perfect for the summers.

It costs Rs 6799.00 but I got it for Rs 6120.00 through snapdeal. I had zeroed on the size when I checked it out in Bangalore few months back. But then I was toying up with the idea of getting the Helios or the Icarus. Finally bought the Helios.

Does it have a nice rainproof zip-out-able inner? Is the armor hard or dual density foam? Good straps/loops/buttons to adjust and keep armor in place?

Yes there is very much a rain-liner or a rainproof inner liner. The armors are dual density foam materials and there are straps and loops to adjust the armors.

I also checked the Spartan Pro Gear Icarus XL and the Cramster Breezer 4S XL. The Icarus and the Cramster Breezer felt a little uncomfortable to me. The Helios XL feels more comfortable and is a proper snug fit jacket well suited to my body frame.

Though not a riding gear, but couldn't find any appropriate thread to post it.
I am looking for saddle bags for my Classic 500 with upswept exhausts. I want to know if anybody has any experience with NH4 Motoheads. This is a link to their saddle bags with raised exhausts: http://nh4motorheads.com/store/index...&product_id=57

Any other options that I should look for. The Cramster saddle bags are a little more expensive with similar features. Also in the NH-4 Motorheads saddle bags, rain covers are given complimentary so it makes for a good buy.

Any suggestions regarding this would be very helpful.

@Arunabh : The other options you have is ViaTerra, Dirtsack, etc.. typing motorcycle luggage systems in india in google should get you good results. See the reviews and then go in for what you might like.

I have the SIDI Vertigo Corsa boots and share the same feedback. However the sole has become brittle after close to 5 years and cut off on some places in both boots. Took it to the cobbler and got a fresh pair of soles put in, they still feel good.

Like aditya said mine is also "AIR" version and they actually do the job perfectly!

There are very few brands who equal or better SIDI in terms overall riding comfort, functionality and quality. And I should also add that they are surprisingly comfortable to walk around too.
