I need suggestions for Jackets within 3-4K and Gloves within 2K for all season use.. I will be commuting to office (total 30kms) daily with those and long distance tours will be very rare, hence keeping the budget less.

Congrats for your purchase. Do update on how they feel during use.

I also got myself Cramster knee guards few weeks back though those are worn inside the jeans. I feel they are priced reasonably at 1400 for the quality on offer. For initial 1-2 rides, I wore them too high resulting in them rubbing against knees and causing mild pain. However, started wearing them a bit lower and now everything is fine. Now they are comfortable enough so that I forget their presence while riding or even walking around.

I am planning to get a pair of riding boots, and have shortlisted two models:
AXO Drone and AXO Primato II, but I am not able to decide which one to go for.

Which one among these will offer better protecting and better bang for buck?

3-4 k is a little bit less for a quality jacket but try www.solaceintl.in their jackets are 5850/- and trousers 5400/-. Reviews on xbhp are not bad.

Spartan ProGear sells the Atlas for Rs. 4500. But the lack of mesh in the construction of the jacket will make you regret your purchase in summer. Better to buy a jacket with mesh that will make it usable in summers as well.

Also, I was looking for a pair of gloves that I can use in the rains. The current SPG Centaurs aren't very happy after getting wet in the rain.

I saw that SPG doesn't offer any waterproof gloves. So I was looking at the Cramster Tundra and the DSG Hydro.

Any suggestions?

Also, what is preferable - riding pants or knee guards? For day to day usage.

Mate if you can increase your budget for a riding jacket by a couple of more thousands you can buy good quality certified riding jacket(preferably mesh). Two jackets that come to my mind are Cramster Breezer and DSG Evo. I would also suggest you to buy a good pair of riding pants or knee/shin protectors and riding gloves if you don't have them still. Just try and save some money for a couple of months and I am sure you will be able to afford some quality stuff. As a fellow rider I will suggest you to stay away from cheap fake stuff, if you care for your skin and bones. It is better to spend on good quality riding gears rather than hospital bills which will may run into thousands and lakhs, in case of a road rash. Ride Safe.

As someone who's walked away from two major accidents completely scratchless, I can't stress enough how important quality gear is.

I suggest you spend as much as possible on quality gear and enjoy riding over many years.

All it takes is a drunk driver or a dog to cut short your life and when you're sliding down a highway, you'll be thanking yourself for buying quality stuff.

In fact, I've stopped wearing mesh after seeing the awesomeness of leather.
