Re: Helmets for Kids

What about the helmets and child safety gear available at Decathlon? It is designed for cycling, but seem to be sturdy and tough, while reasonably light weight. Plus the colourful nature, might make it easier to use with kids.

I have been looking for a helmet for my 1 year old, but not for motorcycling reasons.

Re: Helmets for Kids

Interesting thread. I always believed Kids should also have helmets when they ride with their elders. Here is the helmet for my son who is 7 years. I have a half face junior helmet for my son for our Vespa LX 125. I will post photos later, once i photograph them.

Re: Helmets for Kids

I was at Bachoo Motors in Bombay to collect my riding pants and i happened to glimpse at these helmets for children. On further inquiring, Airoh has helmets for children.

When did this happen??? Yappa!!

I'm a simple guy who's brains are getting greyed out everyday hehe

I think I'll first hit Yamaha showrooms for the helmet; if they prove ineffective, then will consider alternate options. But the fact is that, there're too many things that are taking priority & hence unable to dedicate time for this one.

Decathlon has very good helmets for kids, which is from OXELO.
It costs rs800, but is a proper helmet which can be used for kids on scooter rides.

Range starts from S size, which can be used by a 3year old kid.

Hi. I believe by scooter you mean the kids scooter like https://www.decathlon.in/1207-children-scooters or even on skates. Else, I feel these helmets not really good for automobile bike/scooter rides.

BTW, few months back I got THIS helmet for my daughter (she really liked the design!); she rarely used as not really goes as pillion riding on my bike.

regards,

No,I meant for slow speed TVS Wego rides.
I liked that studds helmet which you bought, but I guess that is for a bigger kid. I was not aware of this one and ended up buying the one from decathlon.

My daughter is less than 3 years old, will this one fit her?

I do have a TVS Wego and a bigger bike. My daughter is quite big, just turned 13. This Studds would not fit your 3 yr daughter. In absence of any other suitable option, I guess minimum Decathlon one is good to wear. Stay safe.

I just did a search for you, do check with few vendors :
