Probably few of you may have seen it already. Top Gear crashed a Smart at 70kmph into a concrete wall. The video shows what was left of that little car after that dangerous crash.

yeah ..i viewed this video before ,remarkable how the passenger door opens with a click and closes in the right thud ...

I've heard of this particular crash test, but have never actually seen it...its remarkable how much of the smartie is left after that impact - the passenger cabin is intact, just as they promise the tiridion cage will work!

As for all those shattered bits of body plastic, those can be replaced under an hour - the front suspension is the only serious damage, since the engine and drivetrain are in the rear.

I coudn't see the video think google video isn't available in India yet.

google beta dont work in india. Yet.

Not top gear, it was fifth gear! And that google video thing doesnt work for me either. Is it only a North american thing as yet?

It works fine here in UK... so it should have worked in Europe as well!

They did not have any crash test dummies inside, it would be interesting to see what effect the crash has on the ppl in the car!

Will see if there is another way to post it...

Why doesnt someone from outside india download it and post it on rapidshare
Cheers

A behaviour to be condemned!

A report from SF says it found four of the besieged Smart cars between Sunday night and Monday morning, all of which were "either sitting on their headlights, rear bumpers high in the air, or vice versa".
