I have mostly seen customers pressing the hornpad whenever they are over excited sitting on the drivers seat holding that steering wheel inside a show room.

Cranking the engine takes it to the next level, ground floor in this case !

I've never seen the keys inside the display vehicles in any showrooms I've visited in Kerala or Hyderabad. It is only the dealership to be blamed for leaving the key in the display car.

True to the dealership name, the CAR is GOne.

Usually, if the item is damaged by the customer while browsing it,
it is considered as sold. (ofcourse the customer has to pay)

With it be the same case with the car?

The driver of the Audi is the killer in this case.

These bus driving filthy souls don't care for anyone. Very sad to see this. In Tamilnadu, I have seen private buses and intra-state buses speeding like hell.

This is not only confined to Tamil Nadu but all over India. Bigger the vehicle, the drivers think they are the masters of the road and that the smaller vehicles should always give way.

IIRC, the bhpian mentioned that it is the fault of the car driver that resulted in the accident. Agreed, in general, the buses do drive very rash but not in this case.

Please read through details that the OP has mentioned before blindly putting the blame on the bigger vehicle or with the usual prejudice that is shown by the general public!

Quoting the post for reference.

At the point of impact, the car was well on the (to his) right side of the road and there were no tyre skid marks of the car. I wonder what happened. Perhaps he saw the bus while overtaking another vehicle, but thought he could complete it and go back to his side of the road and his calculation went wrong. May be he even passed out due to some reason. We can't know now. It was a private car. The driver was about late forties, and was wearing "maala" for Sabarimala pilgrimage.

Next day the news item in the Indian Express stated the MTC bus had "ran amock" and hit the car. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Off topic, but that was a car getting into the showroom this way and not getting out

Though not in India, but nevertheless a horrific crash in UK. Fortunately, the driver, a woman survived.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

So, one truck pushed the VW Golf under the truck in front? That is indeed a "freak accident" (a term the Indian press like to apply to just normally stupid things). Being UK, the truck would almost certainly have been fitted with all the required safety bars, etc. Interesting to see that they are not foolproof.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

I spotted this badly destroyed BMW 5 series (if i am not wrong) being taken away by FBT.

The front RHS side was completely destroyed and the front RHS tyre was actually looking more like a wing than a tyre. All airbags were deployed including curtain bags. Based on the registration number, we can say the car was not older than a month or two. Either a new driver or a driver under influence of alcohol would have done this. It looked more like the car had hit a wall.
