I couldn't agree more with you guys and I completely despise this lady for making such comments .

If these were the actual quotes from Ms Gadkar's mother, how I wish there was a possible way of just changing the events completely in such a way that her daughter had died and the others survived.

I would love to hear her make the same statement again.

Thanks to the good Samaritan eyewitness who helped apprehend this idiot red-handed, we're at least spared several years of 'Who was behind the wheel?' arguments.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

more details of this sordid tale are coming out as we speak, as per mid-day, the son of the passenger who died, was trying to stop passing motorists including a passing police van to try and save his dying father, but no one seemed to care and no one stopped....
What low level is left for us to still fall to? I wonder....

As reported by TOI, this she just hit two guards on Friday itself. So she is accustomed to hitting and getting them treated, hush hushing the matter.

The first and the last picture are from the accident that took place few weeks before on NH4A near Anmod Ghat where 2 occupants inside the Swift passed away.

Here is the full story.

Quote:
PONDA: Two occupants of a car were killed in an accident after their vehicle was crushed between a moving tanker and a halted truck at Anmod ghat on Sunday morning. A third occupant is battling for life at the Goa Medical College (GMC) and hospital, Bambolim.

Collem police said the occupants of the four-wheeler were proceeding to Dandeli for a wedding while the tanker was headed to Goa with an industrial chemical from Tamil Nadu. When the car reached Anmod ghat, the tanker and car were involved in a collision and the car was pushed down the sloppy road.

As a truck had broken down on a sharp turn on the highway, the tanker dragged the smaller vehicle backward and it was crushed between both vehicles.

Colem police rushed to the site after being tipped off and summoned the Curchorem fire station personnel. They rescued the occupants by cutting the car cabin plates. The car's driver Amit Redkar, 30 and Remedios Fernandes, 67, died on the spot while the Fernandes' wife Olinda, 65, was severely injured, Collem PI Nilesh Dhaigodkar said. All three are residents of Tumyabhat-Cortalim.

The injured was immediately rushed to GMC and her condition was said to be stable on Sunday afternoon. The bodies of the other two were preserved in the morgue for autopsieson Monday, Dhaigodkar said.

The police arrested tanker driver Muturaj Pariyeswami, 35, a resident of Dinkar district of Tamil Nadu under Sections 279, 337, 338 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code.

Now here is an article which says the lady lawyer is a repeat offender as she had knocked down two BARC guards on bikes a few days ago in Govandi.
Such morons should not be allowed to drive again in the rest of their lifetime.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

If one is driving north from town then getting on the wrong side is rather difficult. Drunk driving is irresponsible behavior and is becoming nonchalant. Continuing to drive such long distance on the wrong side and at high speed again indicates nonchalance. The lady was in her senses to have avoided colliding on guard rails over the several acute turns on that stretch. Janhavi has shown that she is Jan-pe-haavi.

In all such cases the less fortunate people get worse. How will they fend for themselves when their bread-winner is gone. There should be some way they could be helped to cope with their loss.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

The story of the lawyer murdering two of a family is very disturbing indeed. I wonder how much time would the courts need now to punish the guilty.

Most such rash driving is attributed to Taxi drivers and lorries by we the 'educated' folks, but when you see something like this; you tend to ask, where are we heading to as a society? Now, this lady must be very well educated, but what's the bloody use of it?

It simply proves that people with enough money can get away (or at least they think) with anything. I wouldn't touch my car if I have had any alcohol, not due to the fear of being caught, but because the pain of possibly killing or injuring someone due to actions which can be completely avoided is simply too much.

The law must punish the guilty quick and, in a manner which is befitting the crime, which happens to be cold blooded murder.

These are the pictures of the accident that happened at Vadgaon, near Pune on NH4. Apparently the dumper went out of control, crushing quite a few vehicles. Lot's of speculations going on today, so it's best not to jump to conclusions. Let's wait for the concrete news tomorrow. All pictures are whatsapp forwards. The only confirmed report is that there are 6-7 casualties and some 10-15 injuries.

Some more pictures of the accident. It caused a major traffic jam on NH4, and consequently jams in the city near the bypass.

Thats why mothers are to be worshipped. Please dont blame the mother here. She is doing what any mother would do. To a mother, her child is always precious. Lets keep the mother out of the discussion please.

The only relationship in this world that shows unconditional love is the mother and her son/daughter relationship. Even that is one way and not two ways.

Sorry to digress topic, but i felt its not right to blame the mother. She did her job of being the mother and trying to protect her child.

I think its high time they banned this Omni. Thats worse than riding a motorbike with fake sense of security.

Everytime i read this thread, i ensure i spend atleast 30 minutes with my closed ones everyday knowing tomorrow is uncertain.

Jhanvi, you have no clue what you have done to those families.

I am sorry but this is NOT an accident, in my eyes it is a Murder and turns out this isnt the first time. She is a habitual offender. If I killed two people while driving drunk, my mother would disown me even though, goes without saying, she loves me like any mother would.
